One thing led to another...then another...

I got up yesterday and the sun was shining and it seems too nice of a day to waste. So I went to the basement and got my carpet shampooer....brought it upstairs and started to shampoo my carpets. Well I had all the furniture half in the dining room but all away from the walls so I decided I might as well wash the walls too...so I started washing the walls then decided to take off the border as it was about 8 years old and then decided to paint. So I got the border stripped..and the walls washed and started to paint. I had bought new paint for another room but thought it might look good in the living room. I painted one wall and hated it so stopped for the day. Today after work I went and got another color and have about half the room done...then I'm going to repaint the dining room...and the stairway and hall upstairs...then do my bedroom. Do you start project just to have them esculate into something bigger? Does one thing lead to another...then another?

Other than the painting, it sounds like an early start to spring cleaning to me..lol I do this every year and would have started already except I have school this year, so I have to wait another couple weeks when spring break hits..

Many times one thing leads to another. When something looks clean, neat etc...it gives you incentive to clean etc more. That is what I read about de-cluttering your home....just start small, because if you start something big, you will get overwhelmed. Once you see a clean and neat drawer, tomorrow you will want to clean another drawer and on and on it goes. I just wish I had a bit more ambition.lol

Well I have pushed too far and I am going to take a break now! LOL....yesterday I painted the dining room and my two hutches....I was so tired I couldn't finish putting the room back together...so today I will then not paint for a couple of weeks.

I am tired after reading this post...lol Don't know where you get all the energy. Yes, I am guilty of starting a project, thinking of what needs to be done next and then go to the next project before finishing my original idea. I always thought it might be my attention span so I never told anyone how I was going about doing things in the house. Eventually I would get done what I initially started but it might be weeks. I do this with crafts too. When I get bored, I move on to something else.

Wow lady.. talk about movitation! Want to come to my house next? (How many times have you heard that one? LOL)
This usually is the case with me.. but not with projects like that. I have the little kids at home.. so for me it's more like "I'm going to get the kitchen cleaned" and that leads to needing to scrub cupboards because they're filthy, and needing to clean rice out of a corner because someone spilled it.. and if I happen to need to go to another room for something I'll find a huge mess in there that needs attention. I never get so far as painting walls because by the time I'm done cleaning one room I'm exhausted.. if I even ever finish that one room!
