Try to put a ratings on the discussions you read..it shows you care

HI..try to rate a person's discussion..Don't just respond..
It is easy to determine whether what the person is saying is valuable, useful and not robotic.
I usually give everyone a plus on my discussion except for a few; like those who say: "yes" "no" "i dont know" grea..
If someone writes only one word ..I don't bother with them.
If someone writes at least a sentence I give a plus ..provided its not spam..like a line of something they are trying to sell..
So why don't you all start rating your fellow members..
It will help you;+

I do try to rate discussions (and responses), sometimes even if I don't actually respond myself. I think that the ratings system is now working again, so I am going through my discussions and responses again, re-rating where the pluses weren't working!

I rate once..but it doesnt stick..and I dont want to be said to be cheating the system so I only do it once;)+

Have you noticed that if you revisited a discussion that you know you rated, it still leyts you rate again? I'm a bit concenred that I'll miss people I havent rated or duplicate ratings. Does anyone know if Mylot automatically compenssates for this?

I have always done this. And I also try to give out the best response when it is possible too. I do like you though, if they only put a one word answer I do not give them a plus.

I give out best responses when discussions are coming close to an end and there is someone who has answered the best as I see it...so I have given you one since you mentioned it..Have a great weekend:)

I dont give everyone a plus..don't read what I said there..I give out negatives sometimes..and you should rate every message..It helps mylot sort out the good from the bad

Sometimes is better to give a short answer by 2 reasons :
1. The question is short : "Nokia vs. Motorola" .
2. Most of the users make new topics just for the money not for the discussion ! I made some topics that have 0 responses because they needed a full answer not a short one !

If you make topics just for money ..people will know this and will soon find yourself terminated..you must be here for the discussion as well..Money here is not going to get you rich!+

I only rate answers to discussions (mine or otherwise) if the person gives a good answer relevant to the discussion. I don't care how many words it is, as some answers don't require several sentences. I don't rate people just because they agree with my opinion and all they say is "I agree" Not all questions or answers given have a reason to be rated at all. And lastly..I don't rate question in order to get people to rate mine. If they like my answer and rate it that's fine...if not..that's OK too. This is forum for open discussion and debate..it is the reason for being here. I prefer to help someone with the opinon or info I have, not by a silly little + sign. There is a bigger picture for this sites existance than the few cents you can make daily. There are enough people on her trying to cheat the system (gaming) or focusing on how much they will make by asking repetitive questions over and over. I have yet to see a more than a handful of questions that are original and only asked once..95% of them are the same rehash incuding this one. Lets use our brains and ask something with some validation to it.

Well I am sorry that you feel the way you are..I think anyone's answer provided it is their opinion to the question deserves a plus..they don't have to write a paragraph, or have perfect spelling..

well said.. i try to rate my fellow members for their good replies. but people dont even care about it.. i hope everyone does the same.
