the bible warns about false prophets how are christians so sure that satan didn't inspire the bible or that Jesus isn't really an agent of Satan? isn't satan the father of lies? he could have created Christianity.

Satan did start counterfeiting Christianity so that today most who call themselves Christians are far from the Christianity that existed at the tome of the apostles. I think there are thousands of so-called Christian sects today. If one reads the Bible and they have good motives and are honest, they will be able to see what true Christianity is all about and who are really practicing it.

It seems to me if you believe part of the Bible.. that there's Lucifer, high fallen angel now rebel and seditious, and believe about the life of Jesus - I would think you might believe the rest of the Bible. Jesus, of course went around doing good and healing and all, which is the opposite of what the father of lies is all about.. I guess, maybe I would read the gospel of John or Mark - John is the more spiritual, Mark is more adventurous (different men writing their testimony, so each has their own prime focus) and then read the Book of Acts, and if you're enjoying it or learning much I'd likely then read the psalms.. or maybe even some psalms before Acts.. Good luck! & God bless..

thanks for the advice, but my question is if its all real and not a hoax by Satan to gain followers. for the record this purely for argument sake, to throw the question out there and make people think and question the norm

One of the countless questions to be asked about any religion. And the questions left are one of the big reasons I choose not to follow any religion. To me, it seems as if ultimate divine truth would leave no room for debate. Some sky god would wave to us every morning (no, I don't believe the sun "rising" counts) and we'd hear announcements from the proper version of heaven daily, like a principal on the loudspeaker. Instead, people are supposed to find religion on their own, I guess - like Indiana Jones and the Worshippers of the Lost Millennium. Then again, to your point, if there were morning announcements and a huge hand with a ring the size of Texas--to quote Chris Cornell's awesome lyrics--waving down at us, that too could be the devil. But at least then I think it would be safe to assume that "something" holy exists and that you better try to get on the right side of it. From what I know about most religions, the divine words seem to be on par with the timeframe in which they were written. The fact that iGod couldn't predict the iPod is a sign that mankind has went its own way maybe. But a person's religion is personal to them. No beef from me. And at the end of the day, I believe that's how it would be intended if there's really some god somewhere. It would want individual belief and righteousness and not collective (bargaining?) coercion to its side or groups speaking on its behalf to misinterpret anything it should, it knows, be saying itself. Maybe the devil is behind it all. But I'll go politcal here and blame Bush.

Have you noticed that everything in the Bible up to Revelations has come true. Different items (like the Ark) have been uncovered that proves the Bible is from God. The devil can't predict the future. Pray that the truth will be revealed to you. When you accept Jesus in your heart, you will know by the warm and loving feeling that you get.
