When you are not happy anymore with your work, feeling demotivated because politics is pulling you down, or whenever there is something amiss and makes you feel not satisfied with work, what would you do? Will you keep or keep the fight? Why?

Having gone through such a phase I would suggest that the best thing to do is to do your best to check out sites and classifieds of job vacancies and try going to a couple of interviews so as to hopefully find a new job. You should not feel discouraged to search for new opportunities. Work takes up a substantial part of our day and life, and we need to be as content as possible.

It is better if you walk out (but try to see if you have a job lined up before you do it.) It is not worth being with people you are not happy with and the atmosphere is so tense.

I think it's then probably time to move on and go for something different. Obviously you have to keep the job whilst you are possibly retraining or studying for something different. I don't think it's worth continuing to stay in a job if you are not happy as it's virtually guaranteed that your health will suffer as a result later on and I'm referring to your mental health. I was in a job that I was very unhappy with and I had to be signed off with stress. Now, I'm a lot calmer and I am involved with study whilst I try to get into the industry that I want and that is IT. Only you yourself know what is good for you really but I'm thinking the goldern rule is, look for your happiness, find the niche that you fit into in terms of work and good luck. Andrew

I am happy at my job but I think it looks like they might be closing soon. I like it because I like the hours and I can dress casually and I hate looking for a job it is no fun!! But it looks like I will have to soon.

When you are not happy at work it affects your whole life. You may not realize it but it sets your mood. Work is a big part of your day. You spend more time at work then at play since there are only 24 hours in a day. I firmly believe if you are not happy at work you need to look for another job quickly.

I suggest moving on before you get fired. If you don't like what you are doing anymore, it will begin to affect your whole outlook of the place you work.

I think in this world it's all about being happy, doing things that make you feel good. I think you should go out and pursue a career that you've always wanted and quit the job that you have now. It makes no sense to continue on with something that makes you unhappy. Just think about it .

When I was a medical records clerk I got so mad because I was working like a dog and my co-worker was hiding (behind the closet smoking grass)and I had to do her work. My supervisor asked me, do you know where she is? I said, nope. When I was on the end, next to the closet, I could smell the grass so I opened it, confronted her of her behavior vented at her and walked out of the job. I felt so great. It felt like a thorn was taken out of my neck. I do not like the fact that people just would take advantage of me. When your nice, when your kind, people tend to use you and abuse you. It was worth doing it. Walking out.
