I like Weimaraners too. I love dog clothes. I don't have a dog but I really want one I would totally dress it up. Dog clothes are so funny. My boyfriend has a dog and I offer to buy her clothes but he won't put it on her.

I'm not a huge fan of dogs - more of a cat person, since they need less looking after. I saw a little dog the other day - not sure what breed it was, but it was dressed up in a pink rain-coat type arrangement. I wasn't sure whether I felt sorry for the dog, dressed in pink, or pleased for it being protected from the rain. I'm afraid the jury is still out on the question of dressing dogs up - I'm sure that some breeds, rotweilers and the like probably wouldn't stand for it. I know my cat hated it when I was a child, but then most animals do object to being tied up in ribbons.

yeah dogs need more attention since they should be walked everyday for their own necessities. but yeah, that thing with other people is just like over dressing dogs and that is not like what we do to our dogs.

my dog gets dressed up as me and the boyfriend both like to dress him up. As halloween he was a banana and it was just oh so cute and he is jsut the best little dog ever. My dog is getting more and more clothes all the time as others are now buying him clothes and its really just to funny and hes so cute in them. On Miami Heat game days my dog and my boyfriend dress up in their miami heat gear and watch the games together and its pretty funny but my boyfriend loves my little dog and treats him like he is his child.

hi there. thank you for responding awww that is so nice of you and your boyfriend. i am glad to see you very happy with your dogs. it is always so nice to look at them because it is like they are so pampered and well taken cared of. i cant understand why some people see it as animal cruelty when we dress up dogs. once i read their response and see that it is not good, i don't bother continuing reading them anymore. i think it depends on how you treat your dogs, and also you will see if they are comfortable or not in their clothes right? awww i can only imagine them dress up the same during the game, it must be very cute and cool thanks and be safe

Haha I have a Maltese/Poodle and I love dressing it up in different clothes and walking it; I get a lot of praises and compliments about how cute it looks ^^ But while my dog doesn't seem to mind clothing, it doesn't like shoes very much and refuses to walk when I put shoes on, so shoes are a no-no :D I think my dog looks really nice in purple so I have lots of little purple clothes..

I think that is very strange see dogs or cats that are dressing up some clothes. Where I live, there are only a few people that do that.

I think it's a bit cruel to the dogs. They can't tell you whether or not they want to be dressed up, and it must be warm when they've got their own fur coats too. Some can look quite cute, but a lot of the time they look a bit daft. I think it can be acceptable for special events, but not all the time.

it is absolutely not animal cruelty. i did not even mention them using fur coats but sweaters during winter where the weather is very very cold and only when they travel. yes it was during the Halloween last year.

Hello Cherish14 I do love dogs, since I was bornt my parents used to have dogs, always. The big types. When I got married and pregnant I adopted a homeless small dog, since then I have just had small dogs. Once we adopted a homeless labrador, but our oldest cocker fought her... =( so we had to find the labrador another home. My eldest girl loves to dress up our dogs. She is now 12, but since she can, she has dressed up all our dogs. I love dogs, too. Blessings!... Dainy
