Have you had a heart attack?

I did when I was 36. I'm 38 now. But I wonder how many people under 60 have had one. I also wonder; how long did your' chest hurt after stent insertion? Mine hurt for a year and now I get nervous over the slightest twinge in my chest. Does it get better or are you always hyper-aware of your' heart?

I can't say that I have had a heart attack. I think that the best thing is to just relax, and make sure to have some time to relax, and time to take it easy. I think that that's the best thing.

With so much stress in my life, relaxing is difficult but I am trying to take an hour a day just for me.

You have every reason to be constantly concerned but to a certain extent. Do not stop living with the fret of another one. Simply follow your doctors orders and make sure you continually follow up. Having been free of it for two years means now you have to now have routine check ups and of course re-modified all eating habits along with exercising. I have not had a heart attack but do understand that it is much more concerning and frightening once you do. Be well.

Thank you Hardworkinggurl. I do live a healthier life style now. No sugar or salt. Tons of vitamins and it seems like fields of fiber! But I still worry and am hyper-aware of my heart. I had a 90% blockage at the age of 36. It happened so fast! So now I am concerned and wonder how many other heart attack survivors are going through the same thing. It's been a rough couple of years, as you've seen from my other posts, but I'm trying to get through it. Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it!

just relax and take it easy,I don't have it and it is hard to give positive advice. But, I want you to take this dose of words - all of us are given the chance to live, with life time table and prescribed to live to the fullness of opportunity to enjoy but don't forget to put GOD as our antibiotic on top of all to resist fear of dying that comes anytime for each us.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HEARING THE PALPITATIONS OF YOUR HEART,mind over body-look for hobbies to enjoy.

I know that God doesn't want us to be fearful and I do depend on him every day. At the same time, the fear is not of dying but of leaving children behind to fend for themselves. I have three. Unless you have experienced this first hand, it is difficult to understand. We depend on God but the body breaks down and we have to find a way to fight it in order to live a happy, productive life. I am still young and want to be healthy and strong for myself and my family. If my heart stops beating, well, I'd say "Houston, we have a problem". Because I had a heart attack at such a young age I need help from other survivors to get through this.
