From the time when I was started understanding cricket,I am watching tendulkar playing for team India. Many of his coligues are now doing commentry or criticising team's performance on news channels. But he is still playing. Now he is about to score "century of centuries".Now I don't understand How will team India manage after the retirement of Sachin tendulkar?Just imagine the last match against south africa without him. It's even terrible to think. Can we get perfect replacement of Sachin in near future?

That is a million dollar question that Indian cricket will need to answer sooner or later. But as with Champions, every time one champion leaves the stage after a quite period another emerges. When Gavaskar was retiring people were asking the same question and there came Sachin. So I am pretty sure someone else will come along to take on his mantle. Cheers! Ram

Hello ram, just similar thing I have put up there. The once upon a time West indies cricket players created havoc. Soon after the mighty figures leave the stage it would take sometime to fill up the void. Now WI with players like Kieren are getting the earlier momentum. And this is how things go around. Is not it?

I hope so.But in present situation,no one player in the world has efficiency to replace master. The most important quality of him is his consistent performance, his concentration and dedication to the cricket. These qulities are very difficult to replace. From team's point of view we have many other players who can win matches without master but you know it becomes so easy with Sachin.

Of course, that is how things work. But usually when a champion of this magnitude leaves the stage it is often not one player who replaces him but one or two players together make up for his absence. Cheers! Ram

Hi sammer, You know we have substitute or alternative for everything. Men die, babies are born. Summer follows winter but things just go the way it is steered as. Of course Sachin Tendukar's retirement would bring down the curtain of an era of cricket. Players are already in the Que. Time would help adjust everything and it has to happen this way only. New players new faces and we grow older as cricket audience but Cricket the game has never become old and weak.

Yes, we have the potential but most of them are underutilized. If those players given chance and scope surely they would fill up the void created by Sachin's retirement. And THANK YOU FOR THE BR.

Very well said friend.I hope same will happened with team India and team will win even without a sachin tendulkar. Many players have efficiency to score runs like him but they should follow sachin and become dedicated like him.

Ohhhh friend this question was in my mind from when the India loose the match with South Africa.Rreally I am also thinking about this topic because this is necessary to know the views of cricket lover about sachin. I think no replacement of sachin is possible. India will loose again and again in every match because India's tendency is "tu chal mei aaya" means if one wicket gone then each wicket gone no one can stand on peach

Hello surekhaji,I completely agree with you.It is really difficult to get Sachin's replacement. After the dimissal of sachin team India frequently looses the wicket and this tendency has been seen from year 1995.And thank god,I had started this discussion earlier.

No its absolutely wrong if sachin had not played against southafrica some other player would perform iam not telling he is not great...No Doubt no other batsman is as great as Sachin but for every problem there is a solution you remembered the match against england at lords who has thought the youngster Kaif and Yuvraj would play a blinder but they play and won that game for India...So after the retirement Someother will come and replace him no doubt he will be not great as sachin...Dont India has won the twenty20 world cup Without any senior player except harbhajan..

My friend in match against South africa, the seven players coming after Sachin scored only 25 or 29 (I don't remind exact figure)runs. They can't even crossed 300 in such nice platform.I am not saying that,Sachin is only matchwinner in the team but you know it becomes very easy when he performs.I think our middle should play responsible cricket in upcoming games to win worldcup this time.

Yes,Agree that what he has achieved because of his talent and dedication,it will be difficut for others to reach upto his level,But we have too much of talent waiting in the pipeline to replace him(Like Raina,Rohit Sharma),We need to give new talents a chance to prove themselves

Very true feelings my friend.I really appreacites the way Raina plays and very surprised when he was not playing in elevens in this worldcup.I think Gambhir or Kohli can be replaced by him.But Sharma really disappoints when he got several chances in oneday. He plays exceptionally well in 20-20 macthes.

Hi sameer, Your concern is genuine. Sachin Tendulkar has been main stay of team India for more than 2 decades now bailing out team India, more often than not, in time of crisis. But every good thing has to come to an end and the world does not seem to feel the pinch of that for long. Sachin will also retire very soon people may remember him for some time and then forget in course of time. Some other genius even more talented than Sachin may crop up some day but life will go on.
