It is very hard to establish oneself as a blogger. Can you suggest some easy steps to be adopted by a new blogger for success in the field of blogging?

Hi Yes, blogging your way to success is not an easy task.It requires lot of hardwork to sucessfully establish and monetize your blog. Here are some steps to help you blogging. 1. Knowing yourself and your audience are extremely important aspects of successful blogging. Identify who you are as a blogger, what you’ll be blogging about, and who your audience will be; these are key to a successful blog. 2. If you aren’t enjoying what you’re blogging about, it’s difficult to be passionate, so blog about things you truly enjoy. Find a voice that you enjoy writing in and stick with it. 3. Writing often isn’t just good for the blog, it’s an absolute requirement for success. Search engines love fresh content and will revisit your site more often the more it’s updated. The result is that your blog will get searched regularly and will carry more weight with the search engines once they trust your ever- changing content. 4. Linking is another very important aspect when it comes to popularizing your blog. Most bloggers link for one of two reasons: either they are interested in the subject matter or they respect the blogger to whom they are linking. Links carry an inherent value, so providing links shows your readers and users what interests you—and the higher the quality of bloggers to whom you link, the more respect readers and other bloggers will have for you and your blog. 5. Leave comment on other blogs - By commenting on blogs in your community of interest, you are letting existing bloggers, and their readers, know that your blog might be of interest to them. One of the most common ways that people find new blogs is through links in comments—get involved, and you’ll reap the traffic rewards and build relationships with other bloggers and their readers. 6. Blogging is meant to be fun. Do you actively enjoy and have fun whilst working and posting on your blog? More you enjoy blogging, more are the chances taht you will be a successful blogger. 7. Pinging is something your blog software does to tell several services that you’ve posted something new. This service or ping, is used to produce lists of the most recently updated blogs to let blogosphere know and to come by and see what you’ve posted. 8. Use Feeds - Whether you choose to use full-text feeds or provide some of the text, make sure you are providing feeds. Feeds are all about lowering the barriers for getting at quality information..so do whatever you can to make sure you aren’t putting up any artificial barriers since your feeds make it easy for people to read your content on their own schedules—while travelling on an airplane, via audio as they’re driving home, or generally however and whenever they want to hear what you have to say.

I found it very hard to blog and have a following so i gave it up. I think one thing to do is to utilize Twitter and whatever else you use. Do it on a daily basis to bring people to your blog. Social networking sites can be of help too. If you have a good blog do it consistantly and put it out there. It takes alot of work to get following and then keep it.

Consistent great content is usually the key. Continual and consistent updating of posts. Try to obtain many followers also and market the blog as well.

I know it seems preatty simple or that I'm not even trying, but I promise you I'm a blogger for 3 years with 2 blogs, one succesful the other I gave up and I can say, aside all the tips we read around the most important thing is to continue, after one year and a half sometimes we want to give up, one I did but the other one I promised I'd never do cause I work in my main cause wich is to explain veganism, to help animals, to talk about them and even have fun so a blog must be first about being our voice, a place to we do make a difference, it must be fun, without being something we really know about and care about we'll give up. A blog with more than 2 years start also to be really respected.

If you don't have a too big starting budget, you can start for free at Blogger, because I don't recommend wordpress.com, or you can host your self-hosted blog with your own top level domain name. Many say that search engines love blogs. This statement in not fully true. A multi-page website can effortlessly outrank a blog with the same amount and quality of backlinks. The main advantage of blogs is the RSS feed, what can give you reincoming visitors every time you update the content. Also, use the power of social networking and bookmarking and special blog search engines, like Technorati. Build a community not only using the comments, but also providing visitors the chance to submit their own articles or setting up a forum. Blogs are very easy to market if you use the best marketing techniques. Some blogs acquire PR4-PR5 in the first month by supplying unique and quality content without some heavy article marketing or SEO company in the background, that most sites need for the success.
