I would say that learning begins in babyhood and continues right through life. Informal education happens in the home setting in babyhood and during the toddler years. Then at age 3 to 4 a child goes to a nursery setting and begin primary school at age 4. He or she leaves primary school at 11 years old and goes to secondary school. Then leaves secondary school at 16 years old. There is further education available between ages 16 and 18 years old. Then it is university or the university of life. I am always doing new courses for my own enjoyment like I did an A Level in Travel and Tourism and a beginners course in Spanish. I like to read books and watch documentaries on my laptop. I work as a primary school teacher. I am very keen on life long learning.

I have always thought that education is an "ongoing" thing, that a person never stops learning. That is a good thing, even the most knowledgeable people are always reading, discovering, doing experiments, to update their own knowledge. I don't think any one person could ever know everything! The only being or person who truly knows everything is of course, "God". But that doesn't mean that we should never try to stop learning, for in learning, we can also teach what we've learned and therfore, "benefit" others. Learning will always have a place in life, so let's keep learning!

Some say that when you stop learning, you start dying, and I believe that. Learning things is what keeps us going. It gives us a purpose in life no matter how trivial the things you learned are.

yea it is true. Learning is never ending process. We won't complete learning even if we can stay alive for infinite duration. Education does not have any limit and there cannot be in this world who knows everything. I agree you.

oh yes you are right, everything we do there is a lesson to be learnt, especially from our mistakes, lessons in life and sometimes we even learn from other peoples mistakes if we are wise.

Very true. Just the other day I was thinking about posting discussion about everyday lesson, then got distracted and well, I could not put it into a nice discussion. The simple little things, you never stop learning. myLot does help a lot in learning. Almost everyday, I find new things that I have never heard of, or lean new stuff that I have just heard of.

Life itself is a continuous learning process. So you are right, education never stops. It is just up to us to how we will deal with the lessons that are being presented to us. Even when we are working already, we still have different seminars and workshops that we are required to attend. So it is not just in a formal institution that we can get education from. Even in dealing with people we can learn something continuously.
