Stitching charges too high

India

While in Hyderabad, my son gave me clothes for pant and shirt. I always wear dresses stitched my tailor here in my city since 1960. His fitting is perfect, though the charges are high and you have to wait for a month to get the dresses stitched. I don’t prefer to use ‘Ready-made’ garments, just don’t like the fitting, they are made based on average choice, but many like tight fitting, many loose fitting; about shirt length some want long some short. What about you, you prefer readymade or stitched to order? Loose fitting or tight fitting? For pants I prefer polystyrene blended with cotton, but my shirts are pure cotton, right for the hot climate here. What you prefer, cotton, polystyrene or blended? Readymade dresses are cheaper if you consider the stitching cost and cost of clothes. Please respond, share your valued opinions. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

hello dada, I buy ready made clothes. Most of my dresses are ready made and many are gifts from my mom,and i love those dresses. I know some people prefer to have tailored made dresses to fit their taste. How was your health now dada

Well, I've never had the opportunity in my life to have clothing that was custom made for me and for a long time it was virtually impossible to find something that would fit you the right way. That said, now I am able to find clothes that do fit me correctly so I really don't have a need to have a tailor to fit my clothes to me. I guess that for the first time in my life I've been able to reach an average sized person for my size.

I'd prefer leather instead. I'd like to have me made a custom leather vest like that of Stone Cold Steve Austin. His vest looks cool.

hi professor here too in the US having things made really does cost. I love to wear mostly cotton with some polyester in a few things. Cotton is so soft and comfortable and our s ummers here in Southern California do get hot too. not like India but similar., I like clothes that are not too tight as I am a large woman, wish I was not as it wou ld be so much easier to control my diabetes.I cannot afford a dressmaker so have to buy ready made but am very choosy about the fabrics and colors too. what woman is not I guess. lol..

Tailors are not readily available in my area. Most clothes here are ready made. I guess where people are used to wearing them, they really don't know the difference. I do know a couple of ladies that make their own clothes and even help to fit people when they need it. Like wedding dresses and stuff that really requires a perfect fit. I don't like things to fit me tight. I suppose there is that perfect middle that I am comfortable with. It also depends on the season as far as what I wear. Winters are very cold sometimes.

I don't have any of my clothes hand maded. It would be hard to find someone to do it! I buy all my clothes ready made. I usaully buy my clothes through the mail or at Walmart.I prefer cotton or cotton blend when it come to fabric and on the loose side! Cotton is the most comfortable and I hate tight clothes!
