Why would a Mom or Dad give their toddler alcohol laced drinks often enough to turn their precious child into an alcoholic??? Personally, I think they should be buried under the jail house!!! I can't imagine what goes through a parent's mind as they hand their child something that will intentionally harm them!!! I'm sure some of our friends from the UK have a better perspective on this story than this article gives. So, once again I ask,...WHY would a parent give an alcohol drink to their small child???

Hi LadyM,
I am disgusted just reading about it, these parents are not fit to be parents and should be jailed for it and the child taken away from where4 the won't come to any harm, it just makes my blood boil, hate people who arm children and animals.

The thought of it still makes me sick Tamara!!! I'm just wondering what has happened with that child??? All I've been able to find is the original reports & not what has happened since then!!!

This truely makes me sick. Being a mom to 4 small children I cant emagine what goes through these parents minds when doing something like this. Some parents just arent intended to be parents. So many people across the world would have loved to have a child and love them and take care of them. In turn you have parents like this who do not appreciate the life of a human being. Truely a sad story.

My Mon always said...being able to reproduce does NOT make you a parent. It's the love & caring after they get here that makes a parent. A cur dog would take better care of their babies than these 2 people have done!!! Any parent can make a mistake, but this appears to be MORE deliberate than a mistake!!!! I cried when I first heard this on the national news.

I don't understand this. How parents can just do this?? This is one of the most stupid things I've ever heard of. I just can't understand who would do this. A teenager of 15-16, in reasonable amount, sure I might understand that. But a 3-year-old child?? This makes absolutely no sense to me.

This is disgusting. I fully agree with my partner when he says that every country should have child licensing laws. Anyone wanting to be parents should be vetted and sent on parenting courses before they have kids. We want to foster and adopt, and we're treated like criminals because we want to give our love and attention to a child that needs it, when disgusting people who can barely even look after themselves breed like rabbits and treat their kids like dirt.

I don't like the idea of ANY government becoming involved in our lives...and that includes telling us how to rear our children!!! However, in this case, I believe sterilization should be the appropriate word for these parents!!! I don't feel that I should even be calling them parents when they in NO way know how to parent a child!!!! I feel this child should be removed from the home & NO further children be allowed to be delivered by these 2 people!!! I do understand how you feel about wanting to have children & watching the ungrateful pop them out like popcorn. When I was in my 20s I wanted a child terribly & never got pregnant & yet my neighbor had 5 abortions because she became pregnant at an inopportune time & kept 2 others that she abused frequently. That used to infuriate me!!!

The parents are real cruel.They should be given the punishment of jail for lifetime.but the main question that arises here is that are they mad or what ?
Why were they doing this? What was the reason behind it?
There might be many other cases like this,but it is rarely shown in publicity.
Authorities should take strict action against the parents and the other members in the family.And strict action should be taken so that no other people dare to do this kind of thing once again!

They must be out of their flipping mind!!!! I cannot imagine the reason behind it as I can see absolutely NO reason to do such a thing!!! I just don't think they should EVER be given the opportunity to do it again!!!!
