Have u ever counted how many movies u have watched?The result can be shocking!

Hi,my fellow Mylotters!
I admit that I was quite bored.So here is the thing.Several days ago,I tried to update on one of my social networking sites.And they have all those movie lists.So I tried to put on every movie I have ever watched and see what happens.It took me about two hours to update all the movies I've ever seen.Up to now,based on what I can remember,I have already watched more than 120 movies,which is quite impressive because I started watching movies like when I was in the second year of high school.I did watch some movies when I was a kid,but most of them were Chinese and I can't remember the names of the movies or I can't find those movies on the site.So there are like four Indian movies,two or three French,one German and one Thai,and all the others are American or British movies.And now I'm only a sophomore in a university.
So have you ever counted how many movies you have watched,or you will just say you watched "tons of movies"?

Well I have lost the count and who cares when seeing the great movies... also there are many that I have seen more than a dozen times.
Long back, when at college, I decided to list out all the movies I saw that year and I could recollect about 175 or 180 unique names.. I was never found at college campus and was mostly found watching movies at the theatres those days... Even today, I keep watching movies on the PC

Sure I can recommend his competitor - Shahrukh Khan - I love his movies... tell me your taste and likings I will flood you with great ones... And hey you changed your avatar and this looks great 
My all time favorite is Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge - yes, it was a 1995 movie and a good love story - saw this one about 45 times (30 times in theaters and 15 times on the Cable TV. Then purchased a PC, got its DVD and lost count) - It also has my favorite actress - Kajol. Songs are great and so are the locales... But yes, knowing your preference can help me give you a good list

Wonderful!
I love Indian movies.By far,my favorite is 3 Idiots.I have watched it for many times.It's a great movie and it keeps me thinking about what kind of future I want to have.And I love Aamir Khan.I made one wallpaper of him by myself.
Do you have any recommendation?Some great Indian movies?

This is cool, I never thought about it, but I am sure it has be too much to count, then again I tend to watch things over/over if I really like it, but there has been many, still to this day I have a friend that whenever one of use see something good we share it with the other or I would go to her house and we will watch movies together I enjoy it.
Would I actually take the time to count probably not, good thought.

Yes it really is, we watched a movie together last night, this is something I would like to do as long as possible because we both love to watch movies so its fun watching them together sometimes her honey would suggest something for us to watch and when its something stupid we have fun telling him what the heck were you thinking, its really cool, we watched ticking clock last night, thats a good one to see if you get a chance, let me know what you think of it.

That's a great thing to do,watching movies with your friend and recommending good ones to each other.I did it while I was in the first semester of my freshman year.And every Friday night when we didn't have the night study,my friend came to my dorm and we watched movies together.It was pretty nice.But then we quit doing that after we got busier.I miss that tradition,though.

I have never really counted how many movies I have watched but my daughter had made a list of all our movies (so we don't buy a duplicate) and when she looked at the line she was on when typing is was somewhere in the two thousands. We watch our movies so we have to have watched all of them at one point. What's really scary is my daughter and son in law are getting up there too. SHe's in the thousands too.

My senior year of high school I counted the number of books that I'd read (at least the ones I could remember), and I've kept track of every single one every since through goodreads.com. I've read 597 books by the way.
I've thought about doing something similar for movies but I'm not sure where to find a platform as good as the one I've got going for books and I don't want to make my own crazy spreadsheet. I watch a lot of low-budget indie films, so I'm also worried that not everything would be in the databases. I might try it though.

I know I could try facebook... not sure I would like it though. I'm not much one for facebook. There's imdb, but it doesn't offer the same awesome tools that goodreads has. I'm sure there's one out there that I'll find convenient, but I haven't found it yet. lol

Hmmm. That's quite difficult to do- to count all the movies you've watched? Maybe I might have watched thousands of movies. All I know is that when I try to look for a movie to watch as of the moment, I feel like I am running out of movies to watch. I love movies and I watch almost all kinds of genre. For a rough estimate, maybe it's about a thousand or two.

Well as far as i remember i have watched more than 4000 movies .I being a sailor(Engineer on ships) , the best way of entertainment for us is watching movies as you cant do much to entertain yourself on ships when you get free time.Majority of movies i watch are from Hollywood or Japapnses and Korean movies.I am from India but i dont like the movies made here as very few of them are good while majority are highly inspired from Hollywood movies.I am a movie buff actually , there has been days when i watched 5-6 movies in a day during holidays, but i dont get that much time now to kill but still i like to dedicate my free time in watching movies :D

Wow,5-6 movies a day?That's unbelievable!But yeah,sure it's a good way to kill time.I don't really like Hollywood movies.Some are just commercial and not meaningful at all.I do like some Bollywood movies like 3 Idiots and Taare Zameen Par,also My Name is Khan.

I haven't tried with movies but I have tried listing down all of the anime I've seen throughout the years for this site and it was a really hard task. I recall the popular shows I've seen off the top of my head but everything else was pretty much impossible. I'd imagine that it would be the same way if I were to try and remember all of the movies I've ever seen. There's just too many.

I do not think i will attempt on doing that because i believe i would exceed 200 hahaha.. there were so many movies that i watched and even till now, i love to watch movies and i am even waiting for more movies to come like Transformers 3, X-men, cars 2, Twilight the last episode and harry potter their last episode as well...so the list will be endless for me hahaha..there were movies i could remember when me and huby watched it during my college days, we often watch it in cinemas and its like every week one movie..so that will really be endless hahahaha!

Haha,for me,I usually don't watch a movie twice even it's good.But for my favorites,they are exceptions.I have watched one movie five times at most.One of my friends,he has got the whole collection of Star Trek.And he claimed that he has watched all of them for countless times.

No i never count how many movies i have watched already till now. But i know i will socked to know there results. As i do love to watch movie and i am sure till now i have watch more then 1000 movies. Oh so many movies. But i can't remember the exact amount of movie that i already have watched.

LOL!Yeah.If you count,you will be surprised.I am actually thinking about putting every movie I watch on that social networking site from now on.So I can keep track of my movie list and see it expand.That's gonna be wonderful!

No , I do not really count how many movies I already watched I'm more interested to watch good movies and that's all. Counting such would just make myself unbelievable for watching such tons of movies since I was a child. I'll just put myself looking forward to good movies rather than counting them its much more easier .

actually a lot of movies i have observed so far. i have started seeing movies mainly from my intermediate life that is from the age of 15 years. now i am 25. so it may be thousands. But due to business in medical study i can's enjoy it regularly or daily. As for example i have finished my exam to day and already enjoyed 2movies so far.one is going side by side of writing in mylot...

i think i have seen about 3950 movies eheeh since 1986-2011
ehheh i know because i kept a record book of all the movies i have seen..
nerdy old me..lol
and i dont remember how many movies ive seen priory to 1986 because i was still a little kid,

i have watched a lot of movies. i have holidays twice a year and 14 days on each holidays and everyday during everyday during holidays i watch about 2 movies and this has started 7 years ago. now the calculation goes like this till date i have watched 392 movies. other than that i have watched around 150 movies other than holidays..thats all

I was thinking the same thing when I was doing the movies thing. I have watched over 300 movies. And with 2 hours a movie on average that's 600 hours. That's 25 strait days of watching movies.. And if you add the movies being on tv so there are commercials, 75 strait days of watching movies :P
