Hello everyone here Ji, Before I put my views I wouls request all those who do not come under my dissucssion in question may excuse me. Recently I with my hubby underwent experience, where mothers in particular family cou;ld not do their work as children were making noise/troubuling them. At the same time , we found mothers sleeping while children sleep. In another example when we requestyerd some yoiung memebrs in my family to accom[pany us to our Temple Visit/pligrimage etc, they totally declioned as they have to take care of their children. In mpost of the cases, young couple wants to carry on natural task, but they decline for family/Socia;l task. My question is WHY? Are children and old/aged people are not required. Is it due to changing pattern in families, where Joint-family system has been removed totaqlly. Even if it exixsts, parents have to knock the door of their grown up children before entering. Myu last but not the least, ios it all over the world or any place whetre Children and old/aged people are loved with care. Iwe wish to migtreate there. Thanks. May God bless You and have a great time.

Hi! For me i may say that i will start from within the family before other basis like social, personal experience or learned from school and other souces that affects my attitude. The good foundation of ones personality starts from the family where and how i grew up,whom i grew up with and what kind of relationship ive got with them. That affects my views and treatment or attitude towards other people whether a child, mid aged people and old aged.A good foundation can easily carry oneself.I believe am flexible to adapt any age/type of person. It is a good practice while growing that there is love and respect to each other for eaxample there will be understanding our parents that they need to attend to other things so ill better do it on my own without disturbing my parents.example my late grandparents is living with us and i have to take care of them while my parents is at work.So i talk or spend time with them that brings us more closer. We watch televisions together,we play simple one,and share each others experience and point of views. So am happy with that.So the conclusion is maybe those who neglect the old/aged people these days because of communication gap and acceptance how to deal with it because of many differences. That speaks of other forces why differences comes out.

Hello my friend avle07 and pinklady227 Ji, So nice of you for your immediate and prompt positive response , After I went through ypour response, I feel question of parenting is set aside as children are very much neglected. Children-care home/day care etc are living and burning example of such negliogence as children are sfae deposited till parents are away from home so children do not get what they are supposed to get. Please do think about that. Thanks. May God bless You and have a great time.

I agree with you that it depends on the family's upbringing of their children.

Personally there are many different styles of customs these days it seems with different countries, religions, etc. to where it might make it harder for one to be able to do some of the things they want to do. This does not always seem fair or right, and no one really is there to want to step in and help them. Personally I think sometimes it needs to be stressed to others to be willing to want to help out more so more things adults may want to do can be done as well. And age should not be a factor.

Hello my friend KrauseHome Ji, So nice of you for your immediate and prompt positive response. I do agree your concept. But how men lived in primitive stage together and tribals even move together even today. .We call them un-modernised and unfit to present living. But at least Children and old-aged people are taken care-off there. So what is better. Present society is based on SELFISH MOTTO AND LIVING. If one does good for other , one is always helped. Thanks. May God bless You and have a great time.

The world is controlled by a bunch of younger adults or middle aged people that are concerned about people like themselves and how to increase their own standings in the world. Many times, children and the elderly are really just considered to be expendable. Which is a real harsh shame but never the less, one that is very true. There is most certainly a huge mentality where everyone puts themselves first in this world. Hopefully that does change and the very young and the very old are both going to get the respect that they deserve and also the attention. Of course that would need to result in a very huge change of attitude and sadly it is just a product of the world changing around us.

I know that it is order of the day, but I would like to remain diffiant one, as I am not able to resist present living life style. well not the total world dear. i am proud to say that i am a FILIPINO. Despite the fact that Philippines is still in the 3rd world, i am very very very very proud to say that FILIPINOS have a great culture. One of our very treasured customs is the one we called, "family ties". you could see how family members care for each other. even though, of course, there are times when families argue but as a whole Filipinos VALUE a good family tie.

Hello my friend jeffreyallen Ji, So nice of you for your immediate and prompt positive response In a very simple and blunt language I would say why at all 'OLD-AGE-HOMES' have come up ( as youngsters do noty have tyime to take care', nexty why new babies born are disposed off to 'DUST-BINS'. it is because legally issues atre not born. The very fact of marriage is not being understood by new society. So my original diosscussion is, why at all children and old people are required in any society. Thanks. May God bless You and have a great time.

Dear friend, It is a part social changes, those values of love and caring is vanishing. Most people do get education that too academic focused, more family break ups, isolation in societies so on those problems in whole society is coming up. I feel these things do have much impact on human values in life.

Thats really worrying. How can somebody cannot take care of a person, who is the reason of his or her existence. Well, personally I have observed that the people who are doing such things are ignorant. Ignorant of fact that you can't get rid of responsibilities and the responsibility they are ignoring is leading them towards unsuccessful. Its a proven fact that relationship with mother or father, if ignored, can lead to bad luck. And the reason people do this, is that they are not aware of this simple fact.

Hello, Even here in my country which people are known for being family oriented, there's a lot of changes. Before, here in my country, kids never had any trouble taking care of their old (parents/grandparents). But,now mosts of the old people are taken care by a private nurse or caregivers. Same thing with kids/children. before,it is the mother who takes care of their youngs, but now, mosts of the mothers are working and kids under nannies. I don't blame people for adopting such changes. But sometimes they forgot their responsibilities and give it to other people. Changes is constant...we can not avoid it,but deal with it.

Dear maygodblessu44, There were times not long ago when responsibilities came first and rights and enjoyments came later. It was the duty of every generation to take care of the previous and the next generation. Today it is all bout "ME" and nothing else. This self absorption is the cause of people not taking care of the elder and younger members of the family. Very sad indeed!
