Subcontinent Seat in the Final is confirm

Hi Dear Islooboy! I am really touched and moved by this appeal of yours! In India for that matter no common man in interested in dirty politics where the people are divided on the basis of religion. It is the deed by he politicians. For Indians Muslims are not new, we have got several of them here in our country and interact with each other on day today basis. Here we India we all celebrate Id, Diwali, Holi, Christmas etc together irrespective of one's religion. Yes, this is an God given opportunity where people from two nations can meet at an event and enjoy the event sportively. Let the best team win the match! Let us all together celebrate the enjoyment of the game and spread the message of Harmony and Peace across the World through those match. Islooboy, I recall one incidence where once the Srilanka has thrashed India badly in Calcutta, the people got unruly there and they have set some seats on fire in the stadium and the match wasabondoned and the Srilankan Team was declared the winners! This is not the issue what I want to highlight. I want to highlight that during that incidence there were some Srilankan residents present at the stadium. The local people surrounding them immediately apologized for such rude and violent behaviour of the mob and asked them not to feel bad about it! This is way we Indians are! For us any Guest is God! 'Atithi Devo Bhava' is the slogan we believe in! So we warmly welcome the citizens of Pakistan to participate in the Semi final match to be played next week at Mohali! Oh yes, subcontinent seat is definitely confirmed in the finals. If every thing goes fairly then the Champions also can be from Subcontinent only as in remaining matches Srilanka does have good chances to come up to meet in finals either with India or Pakistan! I am not very good at predicting cricket but I think final will be there between Sri Lanka & India ... Don't know who will win but this final game I am expecting from the start and upto now what ever I have expected ...has been happaned in this world cup so far... Thanks...

I think looking at today's quarterfinal that there are going to be three sub continent teams in the semis with Sri Lanka looking all set to win. So there is a possibility of a all-sub continent finals as well. So the world cup is now converted to the Asia Cup with the exception of New Zealand. Cheers! Ram

Yea, now because of both pakistan and india will play the first semi final, the asian continent will have at least one representative which is a good news.

South Africa vs New Zealand????? I think it may be SA and England let us see. Why go the ground when you can watch on TV and internet. The elaborate security arrangements will mar the joyous occasion.So let the policemen watch the match on ground whereas we can watch from home. It is better to stay away from large gatherings because you never know terrorists outfits may be planning an attack on innocent people, so why take a chance? My Congratulations to the Shahid and his team for fulfilling their promise to Pakistan of reaching the semis. Our best wishes to a great team for a great game at Mohali. The people of both nations will enjoy the contest but we hope some weirdos are not planning any dastardly attack to disrupt the world cup. Let us all not forget that cricket is a great game but not greater than the people who come and watch. May the better team win and let the game bring the people closer. About the prospects of the match I'd say it is stacked 70-30 in favor of the home side but we also know how Pakistan came from a hopeless situation to win it in 1992 thanks to Inzy and Imran. India started the WC as the favorites and are yet to play fully to their potential.The bowling performance yesterday was impressive and Bhajji and Ashwin together may outweigh the brilliant Afridi. It was surprising to see the great Ponting so subdued yesterday whereas for India Sachin, Gambhir, Kohli, Yuvi and Raina had a great outing. Pakistanis normally play well against the Indians so let us see which Pak batsmen come good in the semis.
