A century ago, there were very few people who could have imagined the kind of world we live in today. The optimism which the people felt then in facing the last century of this millennium seemed justifiable. With all the advancement in transportation, communication, and medicine, no problem would be unconquerable. The few notorious crime as well as their perpetrators. The problems of crime and even war would soon be solved. for most people, the future seemed golden. There are many people who do not want to believe that the world will be destroyed on the day of judgement. They reason that the God who created the world is a God of love and therefore He would not destroy the world and the people in it. What fact have these people forgotten?"God did not spare the ancient world but brought the flood on the world of godless people; the only ones he saved were Noah, who preached righteousness and seven other people. "God said to Noah, I have decided to put an end to all mankind. I will destroy them completely, because the world is full of their violent deeds. I am going to send a flood on the earth to destroy every living being, Everything on the earth will die" As Noah was instructed to build an ark for it to be the instrument for salvation, was there nothing that Jesus Himself built for salvation?

God of love, that is what the people taking for granted. They believe that there is always a room for forgiveness. Taking all the time to live life to the fullest and set aside God, for it has already set in their mind that they can kneel down in front of Him anytime they want to as they come back to ask for forgiveness. Everyone should have the fear in him, for God did not spare the life of those sinners during the time of Noah, the sight was so cruel. The same is again happening right now,we do not listen and obey His will. The end of the world or the coming of our Jesus Christ is any moment from now, what if you are caught in sin,do you think you can still utter the word of forgiveness as the world is in fire of hell.

To emphasize the value of being prepared, our Lord Jesus Christ compared His Second Coming to that of the coming of flood during the time of Noah. As it was written in the Bible " the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night." so we must be ready because the Son of man will come at an hour when we do not expect him. Whatever happens, conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Noah was quite a character. He was a funny man. Why God chose him to build an ark, all for the simple reasons, he was so simple nobody would take him seriously. So he was laughed at, and humiliated, deemed insane, and totally smeared. Noah is a foreshadowing of a Christian should be: obedient and humble, unmindful of how others condescend him, so long as he is doing the will of God.

You are right eileen, Noah was righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, He walked with God, a true believer and follower of God.

Jesus gave His life for us on the Cross. Is not that enough? for those who understand and want to believe in the Creator there always is salvation. The Bible is saying that those which believe and have a sinless life they will have eternal life among God in heaven. this life is only a transition to a more higher level of knowledge and spirituality. So today you have all the means to have salvation only if you want to believe and pray.

There are many preachers today who declare that the way to salvation is only to accept Jesus into our hearts as Lord and Savior. They deny the membership in His Church is important. They also claim that all churches are of Christ, even if they may have contradictory teachings, just as long as they believe in Christ. As stated in the Bible "So, Jesus said to those who believed in him, If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples." We should always remember this for our salvation - "For God so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"
