i bought a broadband,so that i can bring my laptop anywhere and could connect to the internet anywhere, but i annoyed sometimes because my broadband is no good and slow, especially when you are inside of the house.so its still better a DSL line rather than a broadband because broadband is depending on the signal. do you think broadband is really no good at all???

check your connection if it has a strong signal receiving then try it outside your house..and if still not working try to borrow other broadband with the same capacity like yours..if it works that means there is the problem with your and if it doesn't maybe your location doesn't have a signal strength.

Well.. broadnband never can be bad.. either your ISP hasn't put a good setup at your home. or issue with connection.. because I am using broadband from last 4 years.. and haven't found any issue with it.. just contact your ISP for link issues.. I guess they can solve it in a better way..

If you choose to have a broadband connection, it's a must that you first check the signal in your location so that you can get the most out of it, as you said your connection would depend on how strong the signal is. You also have to take into consideration the bandwidth that you are subscribing because even if your signal is strong but your bandwith is low then it's not going to make any difference. We're currently subscribed to a smart broadband with a 2 mbps connection and there seems to be no problem with the connection even though we share the same connection with four households. Another factor is the broadband provider itself, our previous provider was globe but it seems that the bandwidth they provide is not consistent, we noticed that it's really fast at the beginning but it seems that it's getting slower as days went by that's why we transferred to smart.

Broadband is not for taking your computer anywhere. You need a wireless connection. Broadband is for faster internet that is wired. Wireless broadband will only work inside your network. You need wireless from a service provider.

It sounds like you have a problem with the setup or something. I have broadband and have no trouble with the connection wherever I am. I even take the laptop outside when it's nice and still get a good connection. Maybe you should call the broadband company and see what's wrong.

asliah, I am wondering if you should contact your company because I have broadband and it is excellent. I use to have DSL and there is no way it can compare to the broadband that I have. Might I suggest you to call the company and have them on the phone run a signal upload and download check. They can do this within minutes and it is free and if they find it is not running to right speeds they will fix that for you. I would hate for you to be paying for the service you are not getting. Best of luck and hope you can get it resolved.
