Do you celebrate April Fool's day by playing tricks or pranks on people?
I used to when I was young, but not so much anymore. When I was little my foster mom and I used to try to play tricks on each other.
When I wasn't living with her she would always call my mother's house on days when school was closed. See, she always got up a lot earlier than us and watched the news. So she'd know long before we did if there was a snow day or something, and she'd call us to tell us that there was no school so I could continue to sleep in.
Well one morning she calls us and tells us there's no school.. it's a snow day. I looked out the window and did not see any snow. I turned on the news and did not see that my school was closed. Half an hour later she called back and said "April Fools!"
Have you ever played a good prank on anyone for April Fool's day, or had someone play a great prank on you?
I was thinking, for an April Fool's joke, to post on my Facebook page that I'm pregnant.. but sadly I think too many people would actually believe me and not realize it's a joke! LOL

I am usually the one that does something at work....but this week I am on vacation. My daughter and family are moving from New York to California..so they are staying here for a few days on their journey....but I just might pull something on my daughter....LOL

I dont think I have ever played an april fools day joke in my life. My friend a few years back wrote on facebook that her daughter was going to be a big sister and everyone was all excited until she told us it was an april fools day joke lol. Soon after that she did really get pregnant again though and has a little boy who was born 2 years to the day from her first child so they share a birthday.

I use to play tricks on my kids & my customers but that's been a long time ago. I don't see enough people now to play any tricks.I like good clean fun like that.

It's been awhile since I've played any kinds of tricks either. Perhaps I should think of a good one.. hmm..

Your foster mom sure knew how to have fun on appropriate occasions!!!
Sadly, this gift is not in my nature but I do appreciate the intelligence and creativity behind such jokes and people who can carry it off! Our receptionist at the office this year, should take the cake in this… early in the morning, before anybody could realize it was 1st April, she started calling people on their extensions saying this person was looking for this person at the coffee machine, or somebody from outside was waiting for somebody at the parking place (so this person actually had to climb down and up three floors) only to go huffing and puffing and of course there was nobody there LOL..for practically an hour or two, she made the entire office run around but everybody took it in good spirits.

Apparently my husband's co-workers had some fun this year. One of the girls convinced everyone she was pregnant. Then the girls wrapped one of the guy's cars up in shrink wrap.. over 15,000 feet of shrink wrap totally covered the guy's car. Then he got even with the girl. He got in her car, tied her seat belts together (the kind of seat belts that attach to the door) then climbed out of the trunk. I got a laugh hearing these stories.

Oooh, thanks for the reminder! I almost forgot. All I was thinking about today, is that March 31st is payday for me. Now we're into April already. Holy crap, where does the time go?
I sometimes celebrate April Fools Day, but on a different day. haha If I do it on the first, all the fools expect it. If I do it on the 8th or 9th, no one's expecting it. haha

i am not very good at thinking up pranks for people - but have played pranks (with others) on others.. i usually 'carefully pick' my 'targets' - because i know not everyone will react the same to pranks..
i have a friend who is really very good at playing pranks at people - never cruel, just playful, silly ones.. and i would say that she's quite 'daring' becoz she would even play pranks on our boss. This year - she simply walked up to the boss, and said his (pants) zipper was open... and when she sees him 'checking' the zippers - she simply said 'Today is 1st.April - April Fool!'...
i wouldnt have the courage to do that....

Hey kats! It is now April Fool's Day officially, at least here in NY since
it's 1:10AM! I have always hated this day sinced I am so not a fan of
practical or impractical jokes! Can't say I can remember any in particular
ones one way or another. I certainly didn't play any since I didn't want
them played on me! Hope you have fun whatever you decide to do.

The best prank I did was with a roommate in university. I was feeling under the weather so I stayed in the room for a few days. He would be the one getting me food and anything else I needed.
After a couple of days, I got so bored being cooped up in the room that I decided to go out. I got a few of my clothes, stuffed it with a few other clothes and pulled a blanket over it. When he came in, he started talking to 'me', and got all panicky when he noticed that I was not responding, and I did not appear to be breathing. He called a bunch of people in the dorm to ask for help, and he was so embarrassed when they found out.
He almost killed me when I got back!
I think it's effective...

I used to celebrate April Fool in different way, Today i have taken some red color and paint on my elbow and on my hands it just looks like blood coming out after that I kept my bicycle over me it just looks like I have fallen from bicycle and whoever have seen me in this position comes to help me and make them fools in a simple way...
