My Interesting Friday

Friday in a lot of ways was Hell because it was so busy. The phone would not stop ringing from the time I sat down like around 4:15 until I got off the phone just after midnight. It just seemed like though a lot of them were regulars needing Cabs, but at the same time having the wait times be way more higher than normal as well as a lot of people being no tripped and cabs being Deauthorized as well.
There were a lot of people who were quite understanding, and willing to work with us and wait the alloted times or find other means of transportation to where they needed to go, as well as the ones who were impatient and rude or just did not understand or want to understand what was taking their cab so long as well.
But the highlight of my night was when I was making a time call for someone. He was being picked up at his home, and being picked up like at 5:45 a.m. Saturday morning. I assumed this was an airport run, and I asked him if it was to the airport. He told me he was going on a Cruise and going to propose to his girlfriend and trying to keep it a secret, but was quite nervous and excited as well. Truthfully I hope she has said Yes, and I pray that their marriage is a great one.
But overall this made a busy Friday worth being there of service for sure.

So sweet indeed! I do hope she accepts and all goes well. Some jobs can be stressful and then you hear a story like that and one take a deep breath and say wow life is good.

Well, there are times and days I would definately say that my Job is boring, and at times it can be quite stressful, but then things like this happen and make it all worthwhile. I guess we all need times like this to keep us in check how good life can really be.

I hope she said yes too. I think that it is moments like that when you can really appreciate the hectic time that you have had and moments like that make your job feel more important. I would like to find a job similar to yours doing appointments or something. You do a great service for people and I am sure that they truly appreciate it.

Well, there are some good things for sure about my job, and there have been some Fun times, but I am now ready to move on to something better to where I can feel like I am appreciated a little more, and have a little more satisfaction on when something needs to be done differently.

I have always wished that there was a way I could find out more about how this goes, but I doubt it. I often just say a Prayer for Justin that she did say Yes, and that they will live a long and prosperous life remembering the day he proposed and being able to share the memories with all of them forever.

Awwww! I bet after hearing that, your day was made lighter and happier. Oh imagine that guy on a cruise ship asking his girlfriend to marry him and the shocked/ happy look on her face.... whew! What a scene that had to be! Most likely they're both young and just starting out with so much to learn. Oh what a pretty sight. Hopefully she said yes and they have a number of little ones and live long and happy!

Yes, it does remind you of a Romantic scene in a movie, does it not. Personally this was a night worth being there, and I do wish them the Best, and hoping that she said Yes as well.

I think when people have to set and actually wait for something and not have it just appear instantaniously they get alittle riled if it takes over two minutes. lol Well, that was sort of a romantic story. I hope it all worked out too. Was that enough to make a nice night out of it? Hope so.

It was definately a highlight for an otherwise busy night. I do think that overall if the woman said yes, this will always be a good highlight for them to remember and reminice about and even tell their kids about over the yrs. For someone like me who is a True romantic this was a great thing to hear.

What an interesting call! I work in a call center as well. I'm in asia though. But I do get calls like these which gets you interested. Hope they both get married!

Wish there could have been a way to know more of this story. But it did make for a memorable moment for sure.
