hello there my dear friends, I've been away for far too long...been busy, so when those stressful days came to an end I've been spending my vacation doing nothing but watching Disney Channel or having a movie marathon...so fruitless, but I guess I needed it... but...well, doing nothing can be relaxing but it could also be so boring....tsk, tsk, tsk... I've missed on a lot of things here and I have decided that from today I will try to be on track here at myLot again...if the net connection cooperates...

Hello there! Ah, yes the dear net connection. I will tell you that my life before I retired was so chaotic and stress fulled that I am glad to be doing nothing now. Nothing but writing and playing with grand babies. Good to see you back on and hope it continues. Happy Spring!

I really do think anything can be boring if we can do it too much. I think that relaxing is perhaps the biggest example of this. Granted, there are times where we need to sit back and just take a few hours to really reflect on things. Or rather not reflect on things. We are going to need to take a few breaths, not really be bothered with the repetitive thing that is called life. It is really a grand thing to be honest to relax, but there is such a thing as relaxing too much. When we relax too much, we not only tend to get bored, but our minds are not engaged to what they really could in fact be. Therefore, it is not a good thing to be too relaxed for too long. Take some time off but don't get too comfortable. That is what I have to say about the situation. Pace yourself as well, do a few things, break, do a few more things, break, as you feel comfortable, but don't get too comfortable too much. That leads to us being unproductive.

I know the feeling... I haven't worked for almost 3 years, yes it is nice that when I get to go out to play, to shop, to eat all these fun stuff butonce I slow down, it can be boring, I am a kind of person that doesn't like to be still for too long so I have to alwaysfind something to do to keep myself occupied. I mostly find some housework to do at home if I'm not going out or surf on the internet but not too long. Welcome back by the way, spending some time on mylot is not bad when you find interesting things to talk about.

Hi friend, when I still working I always longing for a long vacation to stay away from the stressful of day-to-day routine of works, now that I am plain housewife I am longing and wishing that I should not resigned from my job I really missed my job same with my colleagues, clients and the environment, as you have said, relaxing can be boring in the long run which is true.

I know how you feel. Once you start getting back to "work", everything feels lethargic and it takes a while to build up momentum again. Relaxing in the long run can be boring...but on the hand, have you thought if boring in the long run can be relaxing too....?

I have to agree with you.:) I anticipate summer vacation so much but when the time comes, I wish to do things that will keep me busy. There are times when I have finished all the films that I haven't watched yet or finish the books that I haven't read, I have nothing to do. I stare blankly at the wall or keep on eating. Blah!:))

I cannot relate because I cannot remember the last time I was bored! I have such a busy life and there are so many things that I’ve had to let go such as reading and watching good films for example and if I ever have rare time off there are not enough hours in the day! I wish I could feel bored every now and again…

Wow, at least you had your vacation. I will be having mine with my husband and daughter, when we go to manila to attend our daughter's graduation next week. For me, relaxing will not get boring, because i will be doing something that truly interests me. As for you, maybe some of the shows bores you already so you find it that. Well, at least now you are back. I didn't see you really for the past weeks here at Mylot. Welcome back.
