Control oil price or Increase the basic salary wage

I was watching a news on TV a while ago and I saw a Text Poll about, which do people prefer? Control oil price or Increase the basic salary wage?
Well, I guess most will agree that both should be done, but then what you do prefer if only one can be implemented?
Let me be the first one to reply on this....
I prefer "Increase the basic salary".
Because controlling the price of oil CANNOT be done. Unless they can do something to increase the supply, but as long as the crude oil price in the global market is increasing we cannot do something about it. It is a global phenomenon and controlling its price locally, can lead to a more local economic crisis.
Although increasing the salary can also affect our economy but, then it is the only way citizen of a country can adopt to this economic crisis and for a long time the increase on salary wage is very minimal.
So this is just me... So what about you guys!

I don't know what to think anymore, besides the media is nothing more than just producing both news and sensationalizing it. i don't think they really care about the impact of the people it's only for the ratings. besides, having texter viewers participate in this kind of survey, only attracts more viewers.
.
I think we have to face the fact that we need more entrepreneurs that will help our country. and hopefully, some one out there could create a permanent alternate source of fuel instead of just oil. which by the way, it's being stolen or ship to other countries

we can say they are being stolen from US Filipinos, they are understating the commodity which is oil.

hi,
for me i think is to increase the basic salary wage of people,because we all know that controlling the oil price is really hard and we saw that for the past years,and aside from that,not only the price of oil will increase even foods and our needs still increase the price.

I prefer to control the oil price. As increasing everybody's salary seems to be impossible. Not every employer is willing to do so. If you are not happy with your salary, they don't mind that you will quit your job. Anyway, there are still many people who want to have a job. So they can hire someone else for the same salary. But controlling the oil price will be completed by the government, so at least it is something can be finished.

I'd also go for the increase in wages. That means I can determine my budget for my needs. I can even go walking to work, instead of riding the jeep.

Of course for me i would prefer to have a salary increase. Am sure other commodities will also increase their prices so we have to cope up with it.
In the office, they are all saying that they wish to have an increase in salary. And they should incorporate it with our basic salary. That way, our 13th month pay will increase also.
