The basis of love is respect, and that needs to be learned from affection and friendship. What do you think?

Hi guys, I think the basis of love is faith...=) It is impossible to love without faith. The feelings of love may come and go, but faith in love will sustain forever. It is what enables us to keep on loving in the absence of respect and affection. With faith we know that love never fails because God is love. I learn that it is through faith God allows me to see how undeserving I actually am to be loved. How selfish and impossible my demands for love to others. How risky it is for someone to decide to love me...=) If we need respect to love, if we want to be loved first before to love, if we only learn from friendship to love, there will never be a true love, only supply-and-demand relationship. But God has first love us even when we were still His enemies. God has chosen to love us regardless of our qualifications. Through faith we know that is how we should love...=)
