I have a question for experienced hamster owners.

Looking for people with years of experience with older hamsters as this pertains to our last surviving hamster family member. Our hamster is about 2 years old, all of her sisters died over the last 6 months, not sure why to be honest, and now this one is troubling us. She is totally swollen. All over her body. She is so swollen that you can't even see her rear end. Swelling is most noticeable in her hindquarters, she is quite plump there, and behind her cheek pouches and behind her front legs. It's not fat, it's just not solid, it's like it's water retention. It doesn't seem to bother her much, but I think it does since she tries to bite constantly when you go to her cage. Anyone have any idea what this would be?

Hamsters are so cute, but they are a little bit smelly if not clean properly. Their life span is 2-3 years that is why I guess, your hamster is too old now and naturally gets so many disorder now. You cannot do anything about it.
