It is my mom's birthday and we've celebrated it mostly in her house. This year we are planning to take her out for dinner. But then I also wanted to just celebrate at her house but if so I want to cook something special or new. Any suggestions? What do you think?

The most important is the concern from you. I agree with you that stay at her house and do some speciall. If she know you try your best to do some speciall for her. she will be the happiset mom in the world!

It depends! There are times when I am too lazy to cook dinner at home that I tell my husband we'd better eat outside. There are plenty of things to consider though, I have to make sure we have enough money for it.

Money is one thing to consider though. Maybe we'll just stay home but i also asked my husband to look for a good place to dine. I just have to make up my mind.

Perhaps take her out to eat somewhere she would not ordinarily go and maybe wrap things up at her house with a desert & a toast to the Birthday girl! Because it's expensive to eat out we usually eat meals at home or get take outs on b-days or the alike.

Thats a great idea too. ill look into that one. Maybe we could vote in our family. I thought I should just go ask my mom but I really will like to surprise her.

If you guys normally stay home for dinner, it would be a good time to go out for dinner for her, I like to take my mom out for dinners on some days.
