I have tasted it yugasini... at least the dried version of it.. :) It has a strange flavor... you gotta develop taste for it... but it is sour alright.. :) Maharashtrians use it every day in their Amti (Pappu charu), i.e., the dals.. :) You'd get it in Hyderabad, yes... there is a Joshi's somewhere near Koti area...selling all Maharashtrian food stuff.. :) Alternately, the next time you travel to Mumbai, you can ask for it in any kirana store.. Yes, I am a bit preoccupied.. :) Hopefully, I will get back shortly... :) tc...

Hi Dear Yugasini! I have tasted Kokum sharbat once when I used to stay at Pune. in fact a bottle of Kokum sharbat or Syrup was presented to us by one of our friends who used to stay in Konkan area of Maharashtra. Thereafter we have become fan of this sharbat! This is very tasty and energetic beverage with rich dark colour and its peculiar aroma makes this drink very special one! recently when I have visited Goa on my vacations I have purchased some bottles of Kokum Syrup to gift them to my friends when I returned back from the vacation! This was liked by one and all. Since rich in Vitamin C, Kokum is having a good antioxidant property and is a good rejuvenating agent! Thanks for the discussion!
