My Beloved dog Champ died two weeks ago while I was having surgery. Well, my last pet was killed by a careless driver. I live in a rural setting ,so I thought it was safe for my dog to stay in front of the house ,but this crazy woman was driving fast and went inside my driveway and killed my dog. Well, she even called the house telling us that her can had suffered some car damages and wanted to know if my insurance company would pay for the car damages. The nerve of some people. Is good that one of my neighbors saw what happened and noticed that she was drunk. Well, It has been difficult loosing all my pets in a matter of a few years. The two previous ones died of old age ,but my champ still had a few more years with us. Loosing a pet is like loosing a family member ,but at this time I'm so devastated by the pain of not being able to protect him against this irresponsible woman. Has anyone had a similar experience?

That is the trouble, you get so attached to your pets, they are part of the family and are treated as such, and their loss is as painful as losing a close relative. We have to be prepared for our cat to die, she is 19 years of age! We got her from a cat rescue centre, the woman who had her previously couldn't cope with the cat, the rescue centre couldn't take the cat in because they were full up so the woman threatened to let the cat loose and drive off leaving the centre no option but to take her in. How can anyone be that callous? Well she is really old now bless her but she still keeps going, I know one day soon we will have to say goodbye.

Well, is being a long time now since I lost my Champ ,but I have two adorable dogs now that I rescued a year ago. One is a Great Pyrenee mix female and the other one is a Bassett/Beagle who is so cute. I'm crazy about them ,but they are both so different than my Champ because they are both so stubborn ,so they are both a big challenge. I also lost my cat of 17 years two years ago and it was very painful. Well, as long as we give them plenty of love while they are alive is what really counts.

Dogs provide unconditional love and this is why I love animals so much.
