Writing for money...

I never thought my style of writing could earn me good income with online jobs and ghost writing. When i was a student i really hated this subject and never in my mind that i would like to write for a living. But now thanks to my friends i am earing a good sideline out of it. I know a few who write full time and they earn a good amount of money out of it. I do dream of earning even just half of what my friend is earning but i think it would be impossible the way she/he can be about to produce a large amount of articles a day... How could you improve your skill in writing and how can you find new ideas or inspiration to write? Are you earning good money out of your writing also? I would love to quit my day job if i can write as much as my friend could...

That's awesome. Ghostwriting can be a really lucrative income if done correctly and able to get the right kind of opportunities. I'm just here on forums mostly , and have been slightly active back in myLot. Offline life keeps me busy and whenever I get the chance to come online , I'm here mostly. Good luck for your writing jobs , if any.

i used to only focus more on forum posting because its easier than articles writing but also earns lower. In article writing you can earn big money fast if you can create lots of good valid articles...

A mixture of both is always good , oasis. Earning articles are really cool , but sometimes when I join a particular site , I want to be reading articles from different users and not just one user with many articles and topics. Therefore , a variety of writers will be good. We don't want to be reading the same stuff from the same person each time.

Hi. I believe we share a common journey. When I was a student, I was a good writer and basically I excel in writing exercises. Almost everyone in class would treat me as the class writer and proofreader - a position that sometimes made me pull my hair on more than several occasions. Then, I had to write most of our group thesis because I was the designated writer - meaning I was the one who could do it right. I was pissed and elated at the same time. After that incident, I swore that I will never have a writing duty again or consider a writing job. When I left school, I ate all my words - both in oral and in written. turns out that I could make money due to my skills and abilities. The money isn't much but I like doing - maybe because I am really good at it. This time, my contact treat me lavishly with praises becuase I am his head writer. Like in collage, but with pay. I improve my writing skills by reading. Reading has been my first tool in writing. Another strategy i have is participating in online discussion like Mylot. I get exposed on many things and in many different levels - with pay. On terms of compensation, my writing gives me enough compensation (I live a pretty decent and easy lifestyle and I continue to avoid high-priced leisure).

Wow thanks a lot for your great advice and i also do love to read but now i guess i really can't find time to read a novel and juggle two jobs, having a day job and my online writing as a sideline, at the same time... I also do love to participate in some forum like mylot to widen my vocabulary and writing skills.

Writing has been my hobby since my college days, and is still is. I had never thought of making writing a career. I have been writing articles, short stories, reviews, and so on, just as a hobby on a part-time basis. That is helping to make some income too, while enjoying the hobby. There are a number of programs online to write these days.

Earning money online is a great way to supplement your income. You have to really put your mind to it and consistently write each day.

Well, writing isn't for everyone. There's lost of things to talk about, if you are really passionate about writing and not for the money. I am pretty sure that you will come up with some ideas to write just about anything. You could start off by talking about your life, lessons learnt in life, or something you want the humanity to know of.
