Its friday that means payday and my hubby takes me out for dinner. I am sorry to say that but I am not really the biggest fan of american food. So he tries every friday to find new places where we go for dinner. This time we went to a kind of all you can eat for 10 bugs or so. So I grabed a plate for dessert cause i saw chocolate pudding and vanilla sauce. Yummy I thought. I went back to our table and took a big spoon pudding with a lot of vanilla sauce. After about 3 seconds it seems to get pretty hot and after five I was glowing and I thought I am melting. My hubby tastet and said .Oh it turns out that they dont have vanilla sauce it is horseraddish. The waitress came and looked on my plate then looked at me with a face like what is wrong with you? I said:No I am not from a other planet only a other country. She said:Oh and they eat horseraddish on chocolate pudding?

LOL I'm sorry that happened to you, Gothicana... but you reminded me of something funny. When I was with my ex, we stopped at a fast food place one time for a quick lunch of hot dogs and fries. We were eating and he asked me, "Do you find the fries kind of sweet??" I told him no, mine were fine, and he kept eating. He said, "Maybe it's the oil they deep fry in here but I swear my fries are sweet!" I looked down at the table and burst out laughing. He had grabbed what he thought was a packet of salt for his fries but, instead, sprinkled them with a whole packet of sugar. Surprises aren't so much fun when they involve food!

LOL yes it really was nasty! The funnier part, too, is that he was so embarrassed for what he had done that he wouldn't go and get more fries. He said if he asked them to replace them, they'd think he was an idiot and if he just got another order, they would think he was being a pig - so he sat and ate the ones he'd put the sugar on - with a lot of ketchup, mind you, trying to change the taste! Thank you very much for the BR, Gothicana... so nice of you!

That is funny! I bet she was wondering what was wrong with you eating something like that. Horseradish is good on roast beef, but I certainly do not want it with my chocolate pudding. YUCK!! Anyway, I hope that you went back and got just chocolate pudding and enjoyed it.

Hi. Gothicana. Oh my... I am sorry that you have mistaken the chocolate pudding for horseradish. I always thought that horseradish was a white type of sauce anyways. Which explains why you thought that it was vanilla sauce. I wished that the waitress could have told you just what type of sauce that you was eating. I hope that this never happens again. I don't like the horseradish sauce that they serve on sandwiches. I ate this type of sauce one time and my sandwich did not taste too good after that.

Sounds you're not observing first before eating foods. If you're self-conscious in nature, try to observe first, and if you don't know ask other people. There's no harm in asking because nowadays, there's so many kinds of foods that we encounter while we're treading life. So, again, please be very careful next time.

Lol sorry for your pain but that was funny. Where are you from? I haven't seen horseradish in a long time but isn't it kind of chunky looking? Did you think it was whipped cream? I love whipped cream on pudding yumm. Now I want some.

EEwwww lol. That doesn't sound like a good combo at all. Well from now on taste a lil and make sure it is what you think it is. That is a funny story. Maybe kinda look up some American foods and get more of an idea of what things look like and taste like, so you don't get into this icky situation again.
