I am disgusted at the amount of internet scams popping up all over the place from all the natural disasters! Scum trying to take advantage of peoples compassion in times of need such as the queensland floods, japanese earthquakes and many other natural disasters. Most of these scammers try to send emails pushing you for a donation to help out then ask for your credit card details, although sometimes there are false sites made up to con you some more... If you want to donate or help out ring the disater hotlines set up in your country and ask for the direct charity details. Thankyou.

Sadly there are so many scammers that one is almost afraid to participate with any due to fear that it may be a scam. But yes, it is best to do so in our own country where we can research the company/group and make sure ahead of time.

I don't know why there are people who loves to take advantage of the present situation to fool and get money from innocent people. Let us be careful with these kinds of scams, yes you are right, if we want to help those that are affected by the recent tragedies, it is better to donate to reputable charity organizations.
