what does yellow light means the traffic light is about to change to red recently i saw a driver ran a red light probably he's probably not paying attention he's lucky there was no car on my right side this driver could cause a seroius accident by not obeying the traffic law

What he did was wrong but it is very easy to become distracted the other day i became distracted and sat at a green light for ages.

A yellow traffic light is supposed to provide us with the feeling of caution. we should be slowing down, but often we are speeding up to beat the red traffic light. A few moments of caution and safety can make a world of difference as we pass under the traffic lights.

Normally in most countries, I observed that the yellow light is a warning that the red light is soon to come so it's time to reduce the speed. There is one country I visited, I don't exatly remember which one..... that it is the other way around, the yellow light is a signal to get ready as the green light is coming, so be prepared to go.....but in my country, most filipino drivers have their own ruling on this.....the green means "go"....the red means "stop"...... and the "yellow" means....."step on the gas!!! you will make it!!!!"...LOL!

that is a common observation in the philippines. apparently, some drivers doesn't really know how to drive. they could operate an automobile and its mechanisms, but they do not know the other part i.e. responsibility and safety. i often wonder how they got a driver's licence in the first place.

Yellow light is just telling you to get ready for red light and is telling you to slow down.
Most people, who are in a hurry, will usually speed up instantly instead and try to get past in 2-3 seconds before the light change to red. Maybe that's why the driver ran through a red light. He speed up instead of slowing down and because he was right below the light when it change to red, he decided to just ignore it and just continue driving.
