best exercise to activate the brain

what do u guys think is time to exercise and how long should an overweight person like me exercise in a day? i am currently 15 kilograms overweight, i am 67 kilograms, when i should only be 52, because i am short, i am only 5 ft, 2 1/2 inches tall...i actually felt very insecured with my body after i saw my ex husband's sexy body. i swear, she's sexy, but her face is ugly. so whenever i look at myself in the mirror, i try to remember how beautiful my body was, but i can't seem to see my old self anymore...

You should try not to be too hard on yourself if you can exercise 30mins a day and most importantly watch your eating habbits. then you can give yourself real time say by 3.00pm on thrusday 27 August 2011, i be weighing 52Kg. Best of luck

thanks for your comment, i felt very much uplifted by that, what exercise do you recommend? i want to gather as many comments as i can for me to try out those and then just follow what suits me...

First of all, don’t lose sleep over your weight…the more we ponder on our looks (if they are bad), the more depressed we become and in your case, this might lead to more and more intake of junk food which will further increase your weight. It is said that food has therapeutic properties and makes us feel good, so overweight people who stay depressed, eat more to feel good and the more they eat, the more weight they gain…it’s a vicious circle. Secondly, its very very difficult to lose weight so take it slowly. There are many who’ve lost significant weight but over a period of say one or two years by prolonged yet, measured exercise and balanced food. You have to think of it as a lifestyle and not a temporary phase. Thirdly, don’t compare yourself (though we all do) and feel bad, we all have our positives and negatives and I’m sure you family and friends (who really matter) love you for who and what you are. As for brain exercise, I do a lot of word puzzles and other small mental games which don’t require too much intelligence (LOL!!!)…I do hope that keeps my brain worked out.

Hello, jadeflowerjan! I think that you should not be insecure with the ex of your husband, even if she is the hottest woman in the planet, because your husband chose you. Regarding your weight, you should never crash diet! That will only do bad things for your body. I suggest that you take it slow by eating healthier and reducing your food intake. In addition, you can try walking,running, or do aerobics! There are a lot of fun things that you can do while losing weight. If you are afraid to work out alone, you can ask your husband to join you so he can encourage you as well. Good luck!

yes, he chose me, but i dumped him already...hahaha...he's my ex already...thank you for giving me good ideas on how to exercise better...i will keep u posted on my progress...i became this big because i have emotional eating disorders. have u ever heard of that? oprah has a term for that...thanks for encouraging me...can i add u as friend?
