hi mylot friends, Now a days doctors and nutritional experts recommending Eggs for health, there are lot of nutritional values in the egg, they are Water contents 38.8 gms Energy 78.0 Kilo calories Proteins 6.5 gms Fat 5.8 gms Sodium 72.0 mg Potassium 67.0 mg Calcium 29.0 mg Phosphorous 103.0 gms Magnesium 6.2 mg Iron 1.0 mg Zinc 0.7 mg Biotin 10.0 micro grams Vitamin A 98.0 micro grams Vitamin D 0.9 micro grams Vitamin E 0.57 mg And copper , iodine, chlorine, Sulphur, Selenium, thiamin(B 1) ,Riboflavin (B 2),Niacin , and vitamin B 6 are there in the egg, except vitamin C all other important vitamins, proteins, minerals are available in the Egg

I have noticed when I eat an egg or two a day, within a week I begin to lose a bit of weight. I'm going to try that again. Really need to lose, and the egg sounds so good for the body. Thank you for this information.

hi Rosegardens, thanks for the response,so i do not know egg reduces wt,but how many eggs ,that is restricted or more if we take ,what about the weight,it may gain or loose,i do not want this one ,because we are not cooking eggs in the home,because we are pure vegetarians,so it is not possible for me to eat eggs regularly,have a nice day

hi Rosegardens, thanks for the response and thanks for the idea of cooking eggs at neighbor house and eating,i does not have that much curiosity to eat egg, if available i will consume,mostly i prefer for vegetable items only,if they are not available then only i will eat egg,have a nice day

Awe, that is too bad that you cannot even eat eggs. Maybe you can pitch in for a box every now and again, and have a neighbor fix them for you once in a while. Then you would not be cooking them in your house, but get to enjoy them outside of your home.

Hi sreedhar, It is a well known fact that eggs are good for health and it is a complete food as well! Since childhood we have all heard this. When we were children we were all made to drink raw egg with hot milk and nutmeg ( eggnog) every morning before breakfast.My mother still insists that I do the same with my children lol...They prefer omlette and scrambled eggs

I eat 2 eggs every day. I take egg mainly as a protein supplement since the albumin of an egg is rich in protein

hi narthan, thanks for the response,i am not interested to eat eggs,if any thing means any type of food is not avaialble,only eggs avaialble then i consume eggs,or if not only i consume some onion pieces with roti or chapathi ,in which form you are using the egg means amlet,boiled ,raw? ,have a nice day

hey,yugasini, thanks for the detailed info about eggs.I love eating eggs and have them 3 times a week.Mostly hardboiled and sometimes an omelette.However it is said that one should not have eggs everyday of the week because of salmonella.Have you heard of this? If so let me know and maybe thats why i restrict myself only to 3 times a week.

hi Veejay, how are you after long time i am seeing you in mylot in my discussion,i never take egg we are vegetarians so we do not cook egg in the house,but when parties is there i take egg there if the vegetarian food is not available,that is also once in blue moon,i eat amlet,egg curry and boiled egg also,have a nice day

Egg is good. - Bad egg is hazarous to health.
Yup egg is nutriouis and now come in many form boosted by supplement like egg with selenium, omega egg with good cholesterol and many more such marketing and promotion aids.However, egg nutritent varies according how the egg is produced hence chicken condition is imporatant.Do follow the facts, the dangerious bacteria also arises from egg also like the solmenna type.So made sure your egg is well boiled.

hi kukueye, thanks for the response,though i am vegetarian i am eating food since my child hood,but not in my home,out side the house means hotels are canteen,but if vegetarian food is not available,the only alternative is egg to me,so in our families we does not cook eggs in the home,have a nice day

Yes but the Yummy Yellow Yolk part of the Egg Contains the Cholesterol of 424 Milligrams. But the Egg Whites are quite Healthy and they can be Separated or You can Buy Egg Whites Processed in the Supermarkets. So Eggs are Fine but but not for Everybody on Certain Diets

Of course eggs are good for us. They always were. They were just discouraged because ... well because others things were being push to buy, like egg whites packages, and no yolk eggs and all that nonsense. To do so, they had to discredit eggs, and the best thing to do was to remember people about..cholesterol! They didn't remind people that eaten in moderation eggs are actually full of good things, that are important for our health. They didn't remind people that it's ok to eat eggs as long as it's not a full package a day. What they did was to teach people how to make omelets without the yolk, and to just add the egg whites when making a cake. ANy questions why I really don't pay attention to "them" ? :) Great topic and a great reminder for many.

It is amazing to me that so much is available in such a little white package! lol! I have hard before htat every mineral we need is found in the yoke of an egg!! Good thing too because I really like eggs. They are a good source of protein for me since I don't eat a lot of meat!

I didn't know a little egg has that much combo per se. It's interesting though. I have to admit I am an egg fan, though for a different reason. I eat eggs because it gives me a fuller feeling faster than when I eat junk or finger foods as snacks. I can also bring an egg easily wherever I go. Another plus point is quite easy to cook, which really helps when you are experiencing a time crunch. Lastly, I like egg because its inexpensive way to load up on protein. Its a great alternative to meat.

hi chaze, thanks for the response,i too know that egg cooking is easy,we can make egg amlet,egg burgi,egg fry, egg masala and boiled eggs,i can eat boiled eggs also with a tip of salt and pepper on it,that can be enough to me,when other food is not available,but i am not eating egg daily and regularly,have a nice day

Egg is really one of the most balanced diet. But remember that nothing is more balanced than milk. all these ingredients are riched in milk and here they are in most soluble and digestible form. You should know that in the hot areas the egg can't be taken as it naturally very hot. So the milk is more better than egg. The third one is honey.
