I am 25 years old but in few months I will be 26 (damn it) I have a job and I am dating someone for a couple of years already but me and her are not ready to settle down. I noticed most men my age already gets married and have children and it starting to disturb the heck out of me, Its making me feel old already. In my age I still read comicbooks, Play video games and watch anime, I still enjoy those things because it make same feel young but back to reality there is a thought that oh *beep* I am getting old. When I was a kid I love birthdays because of a freaking cake and I am growing up. I wish i was still a teenager , not so young, not so old. Do you feel young for your age? or have you felt the clock is already ticking?Do I have to let go of things I enjoy so i can be like everyone else in my age? I still want to enjoy life,,,

Well I will be 60 this year...and I don't feel my age. If my legs didn't hurt I would still feel like I was in my 40's....you are too young to feel old!

Mentally I can be a 5 years old, 17 years old, 27 years old. I never felt myself getting old, in my mind I stay young. Some were confused and surprised when knowing my real age. They always thought I am about 10 years younger, or should I say I act young?

So, you are the young at heart too. I believe we will stay at whatever age we want. Well, there times when we have to face the adult life and is responsibility, but that does not have to change our styles, our mind, and our joys in being young forever.

If i can choose a permanent age, I would like to be 18 forever, because I am legal to do many things and at the same time, I still can enjoy the joys of being young. I think mentally I was 15 years old. I felt lucky i was still being mistaken as a teen.... Maybe I should try to go vegan or something to preserve what i already have. I try to wear youthful clothes as long as I can hide it but there will be a time..... that i hope never comes.

I think you can be young at heart, but still be responsible as well. I will admit that I have felt old this year, but it is because I have let my body get lazy, and I have some things that have happened and have made me worry. Things are looking up.

I'm considering to try some sort of not so delicious raw vegan diet because of my fear of aging, I want to keep my youthfulness... But I wont go with surgery, I just want to slow down the time and have a long life.

Life is like a Ferris wheel, sometimes your UP and sometimes your Down, you don't have to feel bad when your down or somewhere in the middle, just a bit more patience and you'll be Up at no time. Just like my Grandfather used to say, "Timber becomes better with age" smile now.

I just got stuck ina life that I hate, I'm stuck on the job that gives me to much stress but I know its the only job I can do so I have no other choice. I felt like going insane if I reach a 3th birthday. I felt like my clock is sticking and I should not have right to enjoy anymore but I am not ready to settle down.

I enjoy things normally people my age won't consider enjoying and yet I still do them like watching anime, play video games, etc. I feel that when you think young, you'll look young and they say I look ten years younger whenever they ask how old I am. You know, you don't have to give up the simple pleasures in your life. It's what makes you, you. You don't have to rush into things either. Some people mature faster and get married earlier than most but that is their decision. Live your life how you want it. When the time comes for you and your gf to be ready for marriage, then by all means tie the knot. Don't pressure yourselves into thinking that by that age you do this and this...nothing is predictable. Just stay happy and live life to the fullest.

Working in an office is really making me feel old because I am surrounded by people who just happened to be boring. The changes of this world and the speed of time just disturbs the heck out of me, i cant believe my favorite song is already 10 years old. I cant believe the actors and actresses I use to see play teenage roles are now playing parent role to a teenage actress. I dont want to celebrate my birthday in the next few months, and I am considering stop counting my age. I'm considering to forget it.

I thought only us women tend to think about our age every time our birthdays are near. Don't stress over it too much. Just think about your happy life with your girlfriend. She's supposed to be the anchor of your happiness so just think about you and her. She's your inspiration, right?

Hi, I'm a girl and I'm 24. I picked up on anime only a few years ago, I still watch them and enjoy them tons. I started worrying about my age almost two years ago, when I was 22 ready to turn 23. It was then when I started realising that most of the people in the anime forums where much younger than me, I even saw a kid born in 2000... (wow that sounds surreal as a number doesn't it?) Also in anime parties most of the people there (gladly not all) were around 16. So that was when the thought kicked in that I might be getting too old for this. Good thing, is that I look young for my age too, people think I'm around 18. And I keep on wearing teenish stuff and I recently dyed some of my hair pink and etc.. I just don't feel like a full adult yet. I believe everyone should do what they feel like at the exact time. There is no "manual" that tells you what to do in a certain age. If you feel like marrying, then do that. Some people marry before 20. If you feel like you don't like commitment, then don't pressure yourself and keep doing what you feel like. It's good, though, to tell people around you how you feel, show them your real self and let them decide if they like you or not for what you really are. It's not your problem, it's theirs what they decide to do. Also, I noticed you said a lot, "I don't want to see the day of my 30th birthday coming.." It might sound stupid to you, but the "universe", God, sky, heaven or whatever is out there really hears our wishes and doesn't know when we are asking something literally or not.. I was feeling the same way about getting 30 or 40, but then a good friend of mine, who has worked with her inner self much more than me and everyone I know, told me that whatever we wish for so much, sometimes comes true! So trust me... you WANT to be there, ALIVE when you become 30 and 40. Stop indirectly wishing you wouldn't want to.. cause you don't know who might be hearing your wish. Just enjoy your life as much as you can, noone can define it for you better than yourself. Plus even biologically speaking, you're still too young! Think of the way you were 10 years ago and where you are now, in terms of personal maturity (not only houses, cars and such stuff). How much more secure and sure about yourself you are now compared to 16. Would you trade that wisdom you've gained for returning to a carefree silly self? I know I wouldn't for anything in the world. It's a gift that only age and experiences bring, that's why you can see lots of older people content with themselves and their lives, it's a peace and security only age brings. We're still too young to feel that, but we don't have to worry about it, it will come naturally! And we both have a lot to learn in the coming decades, i'm sure! :) So I wish you to enjoy the ride to the fullest and have fun as much as you want, whether you are 20, 30 or 80! ;)

My fear of aging had diminished a bit, since I realized i don't have to act my age, if that will make feel deprived. life is too short to waste it by trying to be mature, when i dont feel like it. Its so weird I am the only 25 year old in an anime forums.... I hope they wont mistake me for a pedo or something. I just want to talk about anime and videogames thats it. i think i might decide top not count my age anymore in every birtday, i will avoid keeping track of it. I might save money for stem cell treatments so I can look young. I mean if Hollywood actors can look like a teenager in their 40's , maybe I can do that too by having a healthy lifestyle.

Hi. CaptAlbertWhisker. I don't feel my age, nor do I look my age at all. I am 32 years old right now. My cousin's Birthday was this month and he turned 26 years old. He was married when he passed away in January of this year. He has a daughter. I think that it is nothing wrong with enjoying reading comic books just as long as you don't make it to be a habit. My husband loves playing army video games and he only does this in his spare time. Most of the time he is out working so that our bills can get paid. I enjoy looking at beauty magazines like I used to do when I was a teenager. It is fun. There is nothing wrong with bringing out the kid in you, everyone, I am sure has this trait in them. Remember: Just because you are getting older, doesn't mean that you should act older.

Hi there, Let other do what they like. Do not put yourself into others shoe. But what is to be done in time you should do. In my opinion 26 is a proper age to marry. And do not think that once you got married means you have grown up a grand father. In every grown up person there is a child. Those who strangle the child and kill it they become old even if the age is not so. I know person who is around fifty but if you look at him you would assume that he is just in his forty. Do not take tension or stress. Play with children whenever you get time. Do not think too much on your age. I am 42 now but I do not look my age as people say. This is a great compliment. Is not it?

I think i feel this way because of pressure, since most people my age are already serious robots who works in the office with no emotions. While I want to rtemain enjoying things I love even if people think its kid or teen stuff. I still want to read comic books, watch anime and play videogames because it makes me feel happy but there is a commotion that pressures me to stop little joys of my life and try to be a man and stop being a boy. There is a pressure to make me act my age while I dont want to grow up.

I'm 20 and will be turning 21 this year. I sometimes feel that I'm so old. I feel the pressure to be and act serious, to find a descent job and just to be in adult. I sometimes wish I can be a teenager a again. I want to be 16 again lol. Are you sure your girlfriend feels the same way about not settling down yet? Really sure? I think you still have a couple of years like 4 years maybe...

Trying to be so serious in life makes me depress, I keep on fearing about the future that awaits me. I feel vulnerable and there is a weakness that is over taking me and I hate it. I'm being too nostalgic of the past. changes are killing me.

hEY, 25 is not a bad age. Also, it's okay to enjoy video games and watch anime and other kid stuff. When I grow old, I wanna be an old lady who still plays Tekken, DOTA, red alert, watches animes like Fullmetal alchemist. haha... So, enjoy your life. Don't rush it.

Life is what you make it. Age is just a by product. It does not mean that you have to stop reading comic books because you are already 40. If it makes you feel better, why stop? Do not let society dictate you. Be yourself. Remember that you pass life only once... make the most of it. Live it!

You don't have to give up the things you like because you are getting older. I'm 21 turning 22 in July and I also enjoy playing games, watching animated tv and among other things. I think there is a kid in all of us no matter the age. Now days I don't see to many people your age getting married. In fact I feel the opposite. Because women in this 21 century are more focused on their career than starting a family so fast. I do think you have more than enough time. You don't have to get married because people around you are. That's a quick way to get in a load of trouble (rushing a relationship, that's not ready). You have a few more years before you get too old

I think acting age appropriate is what depresses me because I dont want to let go of things that makes me happy and makes me smile. I dont feel like my self anymore trying to be this serious man working in a boring office for 6 years. i felt deprived of something.
