the DNA samples you can get in your dishes while eating out

Hi,my fellow Mylotters! I didn't mean to disgust you people. I was just out buying a cup of milk tea while I suddenly remembered one TV episode of CSI(Las Vegas). In that episode,Mia,a lab tech, said that she never ate out because the chefs talk while cooking the dishes, the waitresses talk while delivering the dishes and while you get the dishes, there're already many DNA samples in them.Quite ture, huh? So it just popped into my head when I saw the girls in the milk tea shop making my milk tea while talking.Hehe.I was not really disgusted actually.Instead,I found it a little funny.I will definitely not stop eating out simply because people spread their spittle all the time.So the problem is,will you?Or will you reduce the times eating out? Please share~

Hi babyanna Are you trying to convince me that I am on the wanted list of FBI or CIA or anything? And I am not planning something drastic to make them hunt for me... So me thinks me is safe Now, when are you inviting me for that dinner?

There are so many germs out there that if we could actually see them we would go crazy. There is no way to get around it because germs are in the air we breathe in. There are probably millions of germs on the table and plate that we cannot see. The best thing you can do is try to reduce the number of germs we take in but we are breathing in germs every time we take a breath. I don't like people talking over my food but we can you do about it. Food gets exposed to germs as soon as it hits the air.

Hi,cperry! Yeah.We would be over cautious if we really think about it.Germs are unavoidable. And usually it's safe for us to eat as long as they are not vicious.

From what i can recall CSI is a fictional story and the storylines didn't happen in real life. They make up stories about just about anything to get viewers and ratings for television stations. Higher ratings mean more money and more viewers for commercials etc. Everything is about money these days. Not about what is true and what people need to know. I wouldn't read too much into fictional stories. It may not even be possible to get in trouble for eating from a plate that had someone else eat from it. There will be a greater chance of you winning lotto. It wouldn't stop me from eating out. I eat out quite frequently even more now that we have a baby girl and have little time to cook and clean the house.

Hi,nobbsy123! No offense, but I won't call CSI a fictional story. It's a crime drama. There are some useful skills we can learn from this TV show. And it is definitely a hit and provides many medical schools and legal medical experts with some materials to learn from.Yet I agree with you on the "make-up" part.I mean, some of them can't be true stories.Though they definitely made a lot of money out of this show,I believe it's more than that.Just personal views. Maybe it's better for us to eat home-made food, especially for your baby girl. It's much cleaner in the house than in the restaurant. Thanks for sharing. And I'm glad to hear a different view from mine.Cheers!

I agree with BabyAnna here. IF it wasn't for CSI ordinary people won't be a bit being amateur detective themselves. I think the Series has given a huge interest on ordinary on how Detectives,Cops and Crime Investigators do their JOBS!. some can be related through true stories of crime and solving. but probably not as cool as CSI

I'm even thinking about making my own fingerprint powder to check if the tip given by Gil is practical.Hope I could make it. I'm finally getting a chance to watch it these days.I went MIA for a couple of days this week simply to watch more.I miss those smart fellows.

These incidents do make you feel very awkward regarding hygiene when we eat out.But the family will rebel if we force them to stop going out and eating occasionally.I definitely will not stop the frequency of eating out.Instead I'll try to visit those places where the hygiene is better.

DNA can be collected anywhere however the accuraci - DNA is important to used in identify prescence of a living thing.
i guess DNA can be collected in any bodily fluid however, the accuracy of the DNA profiling suffers if the DNA is not complete or colleted in a good sample, even a normal mouth swap can collect DNA and even in bad decomposed corpse also can get. However, the results may varies if the dna sample are badly damaged with chemicals or tainted.

This is great, I really want to know this, and I think think I can ever make it out again without thinking about this. Hopefully all the dishes and plates and cutlery will have gone through a very boiling hot dishwasher, once they're out and about, God knows what happens to them – you know, people sneezing coughing and droplets in the air from people breathing...

Hi,Bellapop! Yeah.I think maybe it's really better to eat in.Home-made food is much cleaner. The only problem is,I can't resist those tasty dishes those chefs cook.
