I am kind of worried and feel bad that I'm spending too muuch money in resturants. I like it when I don't have to do the cooking and dishes and somebody will serve food to me. Resturants are getting really expensive to eat in my town and I can cook the same food at half price. I really have to control this, but thinking about spicy chicken wings in my favorite resturant drags me there. At least, I need to cut the money spend on drinks in resturants.

Me too!! Been spending to much on restaurants and junk foods =( I don't hate cooking but I hate cleaning up and washing the dishes and stuffs. I have been spending all my pocket money on restaurants and esp on fried chickens. Goddddddddd!!! It's not only eating up all my money but making me unhealthy at the same time. I need to stop but I don't know how.

I like fried chicken a lot and infact I had it yesterday. I know that it is not good for health and try to reduce it. I am more addicted to a resturant who has spicy chicken wings. They have a very good spicy sauce and I can't turn down that for anything. It is a homemade sauce and I can't buy it anywhere. I keep going there all the time. I need to control it.

Good that you have realized it, spicy food are certainly tasty, but in the long run bed for the stomach friend, it is better you cook at home using less spice, chilly and good quality oil, for few days, they may not taste good, you keep in freeze and eat for 2 days say here too hotels and resturants are too costly, a plain veg meal costs 200 rupees plus, non-veg 150 rupees more we go resturants very rarely Thank you so much for sharing Happy posting, cheers. I understand that resturants are costly and I am tring to reduce my eat out habit. Infact of the understanding, I like the feeling of just ordering food and somebody serving me; I think everybody likes the feeling when we don't have to cook and wash disher. We can't make some special dishes at home like resturants, but I should also concentrate on the money I am loosing.

Yeah daliaj, eating out is more expensive that having meal at home. Therefore we don't eat out as often as before since the price hike due to the rise of gasoline. Compared to the dishes prepare at home of course the ones served in restaurants are more yummy but not as healthy and nutritious as our homemade food. when knowing that we are going to eat out my husband's sister and are full of spirit and elated for we like to taste the delicous dishes available in seafood outlet. It's no harm to take resturant foods once in a while to have a change of savor after eating our homemade dishes for quite some time Have a nice day

Hubby and I like eating out and we used to do it almost every night. Now, we have to cut our expenses and we do it once a week -- or try to limit dining out once a week. We also learned to think twice before ordering drinks and side dishes so that our bill would not be too much. Sometimes, we even opt to order take-outs and eat at home. Cheers!

Aw! I am also experiencing the same! I also know how to cook but well since its just me and my husband, sometimes I feel better in eating out, you know the feeling of just ordering, eating...all those conveniences as compared when I will be the one to cook at home...I know that we are kinda spending much for eating out but, the happiness and satisfaction that we feel is priceless...haha especially if the food and the service is really great. But sometimes I also like coking for hubby...depends on my mood and the budget!

Eating in restaurants is good because it frees you from the trouble of having to cook and then wash the dishes. But then, cooking your food is a lot cheaper than when eating in a restaurant. Perhaps, you could just cook at home and on some really really tiring days, you can take out from a restaurant without the drinks, because they still add to the bill.

For me , I am not a good cook at all. All I can do is boil water for coffee and boil eggs at breakfast time. I have to go to restaurants for lunch and dinner. But, yes, as you say, I should not be spending too much money at the restaurants. So, I stay satisfied at the food courts in the shopping malls some times.

I spend too much on restaurants as well. This is one habit I can't reverse because I love good food! At least you have access to a kitchen.. I live on a school campus where there is no kitchen.. only school food which tastes mediocre. You are very lucky to have the option of cooking your own food. Maybe if you are inspired by good cooking ideas, you will be more attracted to spending time in the kitchen? How about watching some good cooking shows or youtube videos about quick and easy meals that taste good.

A couple months ago, I started budgeting and added up how much I was spending eating out and that got me to cut back really fast. You should keep your receipts and do that same and then you will see how much money you could be savings which is usually a good way to cut back! I have realized since not eating out as much that I actually enjoy it more when I do. It is more of a treat now and I get more excited than before. Instead of thinking well I shouldn't have an appetizer or another drink at dinner, I get everything I want because I go so much less now which makes the whole experience more enjoyable and relaxing. You should try it :)

I have the same problem too. I love to eat outside coz its so tiring to cook. But recently i saw an article by one financial planners to write down the money you spent every time you eat out to realize how much you really spent on eating out. But if you have money to burn, why not eat out to save yourself time and energy.

I have been there before. Now I think about the food in the restaurant and then bring myself back to reality. I can't afford it, I don't have a car, and my fridge is full of food. I don't think it is the food that I want, its the whole experience. I am rooting for you. You can resist the urge.(or at least some of the urge)

If you enjoy going out to eat at a restaurant that serves food to you, go to a restaurant not as pricey as others. Look for cheap meals or even great deals on menus. If you can cook, then cook at home. It is cheaper to buy ingredients, make the food and do the dishes than to go out and buy your food. It is also healthier. If you are watching your weight, cooking healthy meals is advised. Most likely, this is the way to use less expenses on meals.
