How come MyLot is not popular?!

I am a new member here in myLot. Actually, getting introduced to this wonderful site was an accident and kind of funny to say. Someone came to our house to fix the stove because of the leak. When he was done and about to go home, he saw my 6 year old son and talked to him. My son is a special child and in our religion, we used to offer prayer and smear oil to the sick people and he did that to my son years ago. When he saw me he asked what is my job right now and I said I've been doing online jobs since the start of 2011. And so it boiled down to us exchanging our knowledge how to earn online. I was really surprised because for an excellent site like this not to be popular, I think many people are missing out on this opportunity. Of course, I will do what I can to promote this site and I am really looking forward to having more and more discussions with everyone here. And by the way I'm really not sure if this is a discussion or a blog hehe sorry.

Hey there and welcome to myLot!
myLot in my opinion is not quite as commonly known because it is a discussion forum. Most who seek social networking sites are not really looking for ways to earn online and or are skeptical of any online earninings. It is my opinion that amongst any online earning site that myLot is quite popular because it has been consistently paid it's members longer then most sites. It has always paid on time each and every month, provided the members meet the minimum.

The participation is endless, the more you participate the better/more you earn. This link will give you an idea of the minimu pay in which I can tell you is $10. It is endless the more you participate the more you can earn.
If you can say to yourself that you will further discussions and have fun you will not realize how quickly you are increasing your particpation and the earnings come naturally. All earnings will be updated within myLot 24 hour time frame.
I can see that you are from Philliphines so take a look at the clock at the bottom of the page. It is now 7:31 pm myLot time so anything up until 00:00 which is midnight will be updated to your account by 8 am - 10am tomorrwo myLots time. 
It is a a bit of information to take in but once you continue to enjoy the site you will get the hang of things.

I agree with you. Frankly speaking, I know some friends who do online jobs for a living like doing tasks and jobs in odesk and all that stuff, writing and even maintaining sites and no one seems to know about mylot. As far as I can remember, mylot was introduced to me by an online buddy in one of those microblogging sites I have and when I checked out his link, I didn't even understand what mylot was about. I thought at first that you have to be really good at a lot of things and be able to write them as blogs. But when I started browsing on the site and exploring mylot, I found it very interesting and rewarding at the same time.

You can see a "new discussion" link at the uppermost part of the page. It is beside your username. Then the steps are already there for you to follow :)

Too many people come here for the money, find out that they can't be millionaires overnight, and abandon the place. Some either don't find the discussions interesting, or get tired of people and their attitudes. But some of us call this place home, and love it here. Welcome...

I always wonder the same thing. It is also a social network website but why other gets so popular that everybody will have an account but mylot doesn't? I would think paying you to participate in disccusion is a good enough gimmick. Facebook doesn't pay but everybody uses it. I don't tell my friends and relatives I do this though because I don't think they are interested in it considering we have to put quite a lot of time on mylot to earm a few cents.

First of all welcome to the world of MYLOT.
I agree too that like other site mylot is not yet so much popular. I have been here for the last three years not just to earn money but to have people in contact from around the globe.
My case is also the same. I had not heard of mylot.com and one of my friends one day sent me a link via mail to join and I joined it. And I found nothing interesting for the first three days. Therefore I was silent. Then the fourth day I posted a discussion where I got three responses. And that was the beginning and it is still there.
After that whenever I asked my friends about mylot they said in negative. They know twitter, facebook etc but not mylot.
Of course there is a reason. Unlike other money earning site one can not earn money so easily.

I think part of the reason why MyLot is not so popular is partly because some people think responding to the discussions on MyLot is work and they think they are being paid very little for what they perceive as "work." On my part, I enjoy responding to discussions and I feel like I'm being rewarded for doing what I enjoy!

It is actually by accident one bumps into sites like myLot. I did and here I am almost addicted to it. Looking at the total myLot population of 228,533 there appear to be countless accidents!

I'm surprised it's not more popular as well, considering it's such a good idea and I'm so glad I just happened to stumble across it!
