I think a lot depends on how the earlier team treated you. If the earlier team was rough on you, you want to play that team and prove them wrong. So you end up playing better than you usually do. On the other hand if you have been an integral part of the previous team, you generally tend to be friendly to your ex-team, but as you have a better idea of their strategies, you contribute it to your team members. Cheers! Ram

You are very right the play must prove them better to the previous team but there is some player which not need to prove either. Player surely contribute their team by providing strategies to their new team about the old but how much it will be as there is alot changes so i am less sure that any player will do so.

I do not think there will be any loyality left in the players as far as club cricket is concerned as proffessionals they are getting and paid handsomely and changing the teams has become a part and parcel of it.The problem lies with we the viewers who suffer the divided loyality syndrome but the players its no and even if its there its very miniscule and does not affect their performance. In fact I think they would be dying to perform better against their previous teams to prove a point that they are better than the current players in the team.
