If I could turn back time, I would have performed well in the college entrance examination of my dream school, which actually is really the best and most prestigious school in my country.

Hi anjiel052707! I knew it. You're from the Philippines. Yes, there are regrets, but that's okay. Nevertheless, I'm still in one of the best schools here (bragging aside), and I'm thankful and very much contented now with that.

Hi Altirbonganay, welcome to myLot! I had the same regrets as you have. When I was in highscool, I don't give much attention as to where should I go in college. I graduated from one of the reputable school in the country and I'm glad that we're still within the top 10 school ranking. Anyway, when I graduated from college, I noticed that most employers preferred hiring graduates of UP Diliman (the best school in the country). I started feeling insecure. TI had regrtes that that I should have tried enrolling in that school and tried my luck. However, I've come to realize that those regrets and insecurity shouldn't hinder me from achieving my goals. Though I didn't graduate from that school, I'm still happy because I do have a good job right now :)

Hi fragilewings! Thank you for your response! May I know what university you're from? Because as what I know? The four most prestigious universities in the Philippines are the University of the Philippines, De La Salle University, Ateneo de Manila University, and the University of Santo Tomas.

I just checked the ranking for ending school year 2011 and the top 5 are as follows: 1) UP (Diliman campus) 2)Ateneo de Manila (main) 3) UP System 4) UST and 5) UP Los Baños. By the way, are you a freshman student? If you don't mind me asking, aren't you happy with your current school?

Unfortunately, life doesn't travel backward; we must continue moving forward no matter what mistakes are choices we have made. So, since you didn't get into this prestigious college in your country you must move on to your second choice and you will do just fine. Life will have its ups and downs, but it is up to you to handle the downs with dignity.

Hi altirbonganay: I think that if I could turn back time I won't take so seriously some of my "problems" that I had to deal when I was at school and I also would try to get more friends and not doing the same things over and over again. I'd try to be more sociable.

You're right, there are some things that should be taken easily and as calmly as possible. But you know, you could still be sociable. It's never too late. It feels good when a lot of people consider you as a friend.
