I am currently watching GOLD which stars Amami Yuki as a mother who has three children, one of them is Kou played by Tori Matsuzaka who is currently one of my favorite Japanese actor!!!!!^^ The story revolves around the family with the mother aiming to get an Olympic gold through her children because this was the frustration of their family for generations. Her brother was an Olympic athlete and could have won a gold but died of heart attack at the peak of his career. I am also watching BOSS 2, which also stars Amami Yuki as the boss with Tamayama Tetsuji as Takuma Katagiri, one of her subordinates! I so love Tetsuji along with Tori!!!! BOSS 2 is the sequel for the first season which focus on the group of detectives headed by Amami Yuki as the boss who once worked in the US as an FBI profiler. This series also stars Toda Erika and Mizubata Junpei. I'm also watching Shinkengers and Clone Baby because of Matsuzaka Tori. I will be watching Asuko March, also with Tori in it, I have already downloaded episode 1 and waiting for its subs. I also plan to watch Team Batista 2, also with Tori. So, please tell me what Japanese dramas you are currently watching and please give details or a short summary.^^

Hi! We don't have cable so I don't have any access to Animax so I don't know the animes being shown there. But could that be an anime you're talking about? The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya? There's an alien and all?^^

Oh melancholy of haruhi suzumiya yeah thats it. I usually have a soft spot for animes that portrays real life but with a twist and this anime hits that spot.

I've been watching Iryu:Team Medical Dragon for the last couple of months. Although I got to see the Season II first I did get (actually downloaded) the first season so I had the chance to backtrack. It's the best medical drama I've seen so far (even liked it over House). Plot would usually revolve around hospital politics, but the exciting scenes are usually in the operating room. I don't have a medical degree but certain medical terms are further explained by a diagram or by one of the "observers" (they purposely placed observation rooms over the ORs). And oh, third season is done, haven't watched the last episode yet though...

Couple of months already??? How many episodes does it have??? 100?^^ As far as I can remember, I was only able to watch Season 1. Who lent me the dvd? You or Ina? I didn't know there's Season 2. Code Blue is another medical drama I've watched before. Can't compare them with House though. I can't compare House with another doctor. He's the only doctor I know with such personality.^^ Team Batista is also a medical drama. I heard it's good. If you see a bootleg dvd, bili mo ko Sem.

It was season 2. That was Divine's sisters' dvd. You should see season 1 then you'll know how it all started. I got a glimpse of Team Batista (thru wikipedia)since in Iryu they are also performing Batista operations. The manga version of Team Medical Dragon is actually better though since the main character was not that serious but then the live version might get censored (first chapter had bed scenes with Miki and Asada). Season 3 has Asada become the patient in two episodes (spoiler!). I'm having second thoughts about Team Batista since the plot (from what I read) is more on medical malpractice investigation.

LOL =D When the times has already shifted to K pop, K wave, K drama and all, there are only a handful of faithful J lovers like u now!! haha I wonder what makes J dramas so appealing to u, that u refused to let go, and follow the trend onto k? I'm no longer watching J drama except for the last one, ABsolute boyfriend, which has got only 10 episodes or so only? haha =D It's not easy to find J dramas now, but i do have few favourites such as GTO,and the one featuring the song 'first love'.. haha

Hi Kun!!!! Well, I like K-pop, too. But I have graduate from K-drama. Yay!^^ I like Wondergirls, Bigbang and 2NE1. And yes, I'm a faithful J-lover. Hahaha... Maybe because I've been into anime first than into Korean dramas that's why I love everything first from Japan. (And this is why I donated to Red Cross when the earthquake and tsunami happened there.^^) Absolute Boyfriend is like ages ago!!!! Aibu Saki and Hayami Mokomichi (the lead stars there) already has a new drama (I think ^^). Did you watch the OVA for that? And GTO is old, too but I also liked the live action drama. The lead actor there is also in GOLD, one of the series I was talking about. He plays a coach for the three children. Anyway, it's good to see you here Kun...^^

Yes! I always ask destiny why I wasn't born in Japan! And if I had the power, I would want to live there! Why do you have to create a new account and delete your current, old, original one?

haha =D U are an early graduate huh?? lol =D Yeah, i'm sure u will donate to japan, considering your love for their culture. If possible, i think u would give up your citizenship, and be part of japan!! hehe YEah, but those remain my favourites till date. haha =D There's not much J drama showing on cable or local free to air, so there's very limited choice, not to mention new dramas from them.. lol =D I'm one who prefer old things, and it's usually the song that attracts to the drama, more than anything else.. hehe ^_^ YEah, good to see u here again after such a long time!! haha =D I'm planning to reach 10,000 post before deleting this account and start a new one ^_^

Lately, I've just finished watching Yamato nadeshiko Shichi Henge starring Kame. I became interested watching this series because of the anime and Tegoshi Yuya playing as Yuki. Two years ago, I've been addicted to yamapi series so I've watched almost all of his dramas. :)

I'm currently watching "Freeter Ie o Kau" starring Karina and Ninomiya :D I've seen this drama before but decided to watch it again since I skipped some parts on it. The rating's really good too and it's rated as one of the top rating drama in Japan when it was aired :D

I've been seeing this in the drama ratings that I follow but I really don't know the story. What's the story of this drama?

I've also noticed that in many dramas! There's a lot of freeters there, from students to working age.

Freeter in Japan means "part-timers" Nino here plays the role of a regular employee who quits his job after 3 months. To add, he's really a pessimistic, what-I-have-now-it's-ok attitude tends to have him argue with his father. He then became a "Hikkimori", those type of people who never leaves their room. One day though, his mom fell ill since she fell into depression that's when Seiji decides to take a job in a construction company, where he meets Karina. That's when his outlook in life changes. The reason why this drama (in my opinion) got a high rating is because Japanese can really relate to it. There's a lot of freeter in Japan :D The drama never dropped from it's 2 digit ratings :D
