I really don't get the point

News nowadays are teeming with details regarding the Royal wedding. It's like their making a fuss about every new detail. Earlier, our local news even focused on one of the previous nannies and WHAT SHE WOULD WEAR. It makes no sense to me to update the public about EVERY BIT OF DETAIL. Don't get me wrong here. I just don't find it all interesting. @_@ It's like, how would it affect me? It's getting a bit tiring when I listen to the news and every now and then they make the same updates. Over and over and over again.

I read somewhere that everyone dreams to be a Prince or Princess. That's the catch so media make a meal of the Royal Wedding and try to find anything related to it for as long as it appeals to the readers. I know not all of us are interested in the news (I am the same as you) but I also know for a fact that many more are interested in it and would want to be a part of the updated society. So, cheers up, I bet there are some who are like us...

It would, just like any other stories... People are fickle, cannot hold an interest for so long....

Well, I guess the one thing good about the focus on the royal wedding is that it is a good news. At least, it's not all bad news. Hopefully this news will be all over.

Yeah, in our humanities subject we watched an indie film with regards to how media can exaggerate things and even twist things a bit. It's crazy.

Welcome to the mainstream media. Where they make a big deal out of everything and everyone that is the least bit famous. Granted, being the royal wedding, it would be just slightly a bit more important than your average celebrity wedding or anything involving the famous, but it just seems to be an insane amount of coverage. For something that is going to be over in a snap. Then again, weddings tend to be an overblown affair to begin with in general, but that's an entirely different rant for an entirely different time. The media attention has really built this up to a degree and all of the hype that its going to lead to some kind of disaster. Well its bound to, but its not guaranteed. Hopefully everything works out for the best. The mainstream media tends to harp on a lot of things for an extended period of time, with this being the latest hot button topic, the latest talking point. It will be all out of their systems before long and then we'll get to the next thing that will be crammed down our throats.

HOpefully after today they don't give us any more details about the honeymoon and stuff like that. Haha. If they were to do so, I wish they would just make a channel especially dedicated for it so that only the people interested would watch.

It's business as usual. As we all know, Kate's parents are in the "party favors" business which had made them strike a multi-million dollar fortune. I think it is all because of this that all sorts of businesses have arisen many days before the wedding---mugs with the photo of the couple, all sorts of cakes, give-aways, plates, spoons, etc. It's big business as well. I think the whole fuss has something to do with the business aspect of the occasion.

British Royals became so powerful ever since even in the world history. That is why they became the favorite of media attention not just their local media but international news. More so Princess Diana have influenced many people even in other countries that she was loved by many that is why even her memorial service it was also followed. That is the reason why her son was followed by many people around the world that became so excited of their Royal Wedding. So no wonder that in every detail they are keep on updating as part of public interest. Regarding the nanny I think she was the only Filipina that was accepted to become staff of the Royal Family. I have to admit that it is not easy to become a nanny for the Royal Family for a fact that you must have the strong points for being a trustworthy person. More so she was also assigned to take care the two Prince which is part of the security as well. It is already in the media's curiosity regarding her attire for the Royal Wedding. Some people are not interested but there are a lot of people that are really interested about the Royal Family.

I feel the same way too. Imagine, even the nanny was asked on what she is going to wear and what she will say to the newlyweds. Sometimes, those reporters are so nosy to the point that details such as those and shouldn't be in the news anymore are still being broadcast.

I think the wedding's a lovely thing but the constant press coverage about the littlest details has turned people against it in my opinion, which is sad.
