Did this situation always happen a long time ago when you're playing games or was it just recently that the computer is behaving this way? Maybe there's some problem with the system requirements of the game not being met, the memory is insufficient, or something like that.

it was just recently..before, it was doing great with games..so i think there's no problem with the system requirements..as we have already played those games a lot..memory being insufficient could be the cause..anyway, thanks for the response EnslinPorter..

Have you already solved it? I know I came late but just found the topic and find it interesting. It started to happen to me too with a particular game. The most likely cause is overheating due to the graphical exigences of current games. You should check your CPU and GPU temperatures during gameplay, you can use a program called "Everest" for that (www.lavalys.com) and watch it carefully. Normally temperature should never excess something like 80 degrees or so to be safe. Notebooks are particularly affected by this due to the poor ventilation. If you found this to be the problem, check the coolers (CPU, GPU and power supply), clean the dust or replace or add a new one. My second theory is a driver incompatibility, but here you may check the game FAQs for some clue on that. Of course, updating drivers is the best choice to be safe.

yoh RamRes..i haven't solved it yet but i've already found out the cause..one of the transistors of my graphics card popped out..so that's why the computer restarts..as a means of preventing further damage..

It depends on many things. 1. Does your PC meets the games minimum requirement 2. Maybe your SMPS/PSU is counting its last days 3. Maybe your GPU is not strong enough to handle. 4. And lastly is your GPU driver updated? So until and unless you supply us with an adequate information about the situation we can't help you.

have you tried updating drivers, uninstalling and installing them? how about overheating? maybe dust has affected the connector pins in the IDE slot or something. check also for ram errors.

regarding the first question, not yet..overheating?..already checked the cpu and other components' temperatures..everything's normal..dust?..i'll need to check on that but it's a less possibility that that's the cause..ram?..well maybe..i'll try to add additional ram..thanks for response o0jopak0o..have a nice day..

do this step by step 1. play the game 2.if restart occurs turn off the power supply 3.touch the processor heat sink if the heat sink is very hot turn on the pc again then you can see the processor fan running slowly again turn off 4.get another cabinet fan and just place near the cpu (because the the air from cabinet fan must be got by cpu ) 5.now you got two fans near cpu then turn on the pc play the game if no hang and no restart the problem is with your cpu fan if it again happen comment me or message me
