as i watched the royal wedding on tv, my first reaction was "really?! those still exist?!" the vintage looking gigantic church, the kind of music being played, and the kind of clothes most are wearing... of course i know that they exist, but somehow i was a little shocked. living in a small country Philippines, im not very familiar of those things. but i found the fashion very great. especially those head dresses that's obviously in a wide variety. what about you mylotters, how did you find the fashion drama at the Royal wedding? lets not focus only on Catherine's "controversial" gown, but lets talk about the visitor's outfits as well...

Gotta love a royal wedding! I loved the 'pomp and circumstance', the traditions, the dress, the dignified stature of them all, the underlying excitement. What a wedding! Too bad we don't have more of them!

There are several different tv shows about weddings. One where they can win a wonderful wedding if they win this prize. Another about dragon ladies and how they act just before their weddings. Such as that.

I was actually expecting that the kind of formal wedding would be wearing of gowns like in Academy Awards but it was all about hats. I think that is their tradition as British or in England. I just hope that here in the Philippines our fellowmen are not trying hard to do the same thing unless if they really want a British theme tradition in some occasions. We have our own fashion sense. I know we can't be focusing anymore in wearing Maria Clara or even Saya but wearing Barong is still a big MUST in our culture. The reason why we have that kind of formal attire just like Barong I believe it has something to do with the climate in our country. We are living in tropical country that is why Barong Tagalog is the best compatible attire for the formal. There is nothing wrong to wear American suit here as long as the place is really air conditioned. But sometimes I just hate it when some people are requiring to wear the Americana instead of Barong here in our country.

that's the problem with the Philippines. no originality. and surely so fashion sense. we're ought to copying what's hot and famous, and we cant make our own name.. even in the music, we just make tagalog versions of those famous english songs (cant remember how many of those were in the PGT auditions)
