Is it advisable to drink soda at midnight?

I just opened the fridge to drink water. Then I saw a bottle of soda. I wondered if it is advisable to drink this at this time--midnight. So, is it? Or is it not? Happy myLotting!

It depends upon your purpose, if you want to stay awake all all night..:) We all know that soda contains caffeine and it can disrupt your sleep cycle (if you have a plan to sleep later) but also depends on the quantity. If you can can try not to drink during this time-midnight much better.:)

Hi altirbonganay: I would say that soda is not the best drink at all but it must be worst at midnight because you are going to go to bed and you'll give your stomach a not healthy food. So I won't advice you to do this. ALVARO

It is not advisable to drink soda at night. You might not feel sleepy after drinking soda in the night time

Hey there, It depends how you normally react with caffeine, see with me it would not keep me awake to drink a soda and or coffee at midnight at all, but here are some that caffeine affects them. So my suggestion would be perhaps not if it does affect you otherwise it might, hard to say yes when I am not sure how it affects you. Try some water maybe instead.

Hello hardworkinggurl! Thank you for your response. Caffeine doesn't affect me that much. Nevertheless, I won't be drinking the soda any longer. I'd just drink water. A water therapy would probably do. LOL! Happy myLotting!

Soda is just full of caffeine.. Unless you don't want to sleep yet, its probably okay.. I drink soda past midnight sometimes too. But I prefer coffee, which I think really helps me to stay up till morning. Just playing video games and stuff.. Just don't drink on an empty stomach though.

It just depends on how you react to sugar and caffeine. I personally don't get that wired when I drink soda but I also know people that do. You just have to know your body

The Caffeine in Soda makes some people stay awake if they have it at a late hour. For me I would drink it because I enjoy Soda and if I had a choice between water and a can of Soda even at midnight Soda would win out. Soda though doesn't keep me up so that's a good thing.

Well I've done it before. It was an insane idea, but I really did do it. Mostly because there was nothing left in the house, we were snowed in, and we could not use the tap water, because there was a boil order in the area for some reason. It was a bit of insanity that may never be duplicated, but really I drank a soda when I was thirsty in the middle of the night. Of course, given the fact that a little caffeine jolt super charges me in the morning, it should stand to reason that it is going to super charge me in the middle of the night. It is most certainly not something that I would recommend to say the very least. Caffeine is not conductive to sleeping. Therefore, I try to abstain from drinking anything with Caffeine up until four or five hours when I go to sleep. It really does allow me to get to sleep rather easier, instead of being absolutely super charged and unable to sleep at night. Still it is really not that good of an idea to drink a soda in the depths of the night.
