I went and hit return and finished the last discussion before I wanted to.

Geesh, I can't believe the things I do sometimes. I got distracted and ended the gift and cards from friends too early. Another friend sent me caranations and two gift cards from Walmart. She also sent me a hilarious card that looked like my cat. I used one of the gift cards to buy all the liquid I needed to drink and some much needed socks. The other one, I may buy bigger clothes, I'm having trouble with swelling and the clothes aren't helping me drain any of the poisons out of my body that they put in for the tests. Waist bands are now my mortal enemy. I'll be wearing lots of long, huge dresses from now on. Another friend sent a get well soon/heal up from your operation combination card with two passes for a car and driver to go across on the ferry and two passes for a passenger to go across on the ferry. That will save us 13 dollars each way or a little less for a round trip. They went through something similar and they know how expensive travel can be. That will help soooo much! One friend is thinking about sending me a phone card for help with making phone calls while I'm away. So have you ever sent your friends cheery cards, gifts, or gift cards to make them feel better when they were ill?

I do the same thing. I go to send it and then I read it again, after it is too late, and see things I should of changed. And I am the one that always grumps about people not proofreading. Gheesh! What thoughtful gifts! You are very lucky to have these close friends. I think gift cards of any kind are a great gift.

Hi writersedge, What a great feeling to have such wonderful caring friends, it certainly can bring smiles to us showing that they care about us. The gift cards is an excellent idea. Being that the weather perhaps is already too warm by you or may be too warm soon, perhaps the gift cards will come in handy for some comfy light stay at home type of dresses. Wow ferry rides how cool is that, have a little fun, and enjoyment. You certainly deserve it. I have not received anything tangible in a while but I can certainly say that reading your recent discussions are like gifts to me. Blessings my friends have always been my favorite gifts

The ferry rides are to get me across Lake Champlain to the hospital. It's easier to rest during the 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive on the ferry than to go around by the bridge. I just bought a tent dress for work. I'm so swollen from first the operation and now the tests. I can't even wear my regular clothes. So the cards are wonderful and the ferry passes are too. Wish me luck. I have 3 full days of subbing this week. Then I go on disability. Thanks and take care.
