I am not a teenager anymore, but I watch anime. For me, there are lots of Japan anime to watch and there are all kinds of genre to choose from. Yes, I still watch Japan anime even if I am already old. Wa ha ha I feel a little bit embarass -- Is there a 30 years old and above who still watch Japan Anime? Is is it a shame to be a fan of Japan anime even if you are old? I just would like to know your view.

No!!!!!! It's not a shame!!!! That's what I like to say and that's what I want to believe. Although I'm "only" 29, I can feel that even after I reach my 30's, I would still love to watch anime! I've been a fan since I was a teenager. I just can't help it, animes are so entertaining! I am so fascinated primarily with the art and then the story.^^ I also have older friends who are into anime. They were in their 30's when I was in my 20's and they still like anime until now. I don't think it's something to be ashamed of. I think it's just the inner child in us who still continue to be amazed in this kind of stuff.^^ ?

Well dear I know someone who is above 40 and have children who loves watching anime to date. She loves anime since she was a child and did not stop loving anime till she got married and got children and now she is watching anime together with her children who also love anime. Ha!ha!ha! Sometimes her mother was telling her to stop watching anime for if people see her, they might just think she is retarded. Ha!ha!ha! But as for me, it is but natural to have passion for things. We can't judge a person just because she or he watches anime at older age. So go and watch, that is your life and no one can ever just dictate things on you. There is nothing really wrong with it. If you want to be entertained then that is no longer others business.

@ Salonga, Her mother is like my father. Every time I watch Japan anime in "animax" on TV, he is always complaining that I should not watch 'cartoons' -- he called it 'cartoons' and not anime, I do not know why. He likes to watch news and he's bit irritated if he saw me watching Japan anime on TV.

Hmm.. I'm not very young either and I'm still watching anime too. I'll still most probably be watching even when I'm 30. One is never too old for anime.

Hi there! Hey! you are not alone! I am already 30 now and still fond of watching some anime. I don't know but it gives me some kind of joy. I feel good watching them. Its not a shame and never will be as long as it entertains us and something that relaxes us after those stressful days...hehe Actually my husband as well as my father who's already in his 50's is also fond of watching those till now...

You are never too old to enjoy anime. No on is. There are lots of people in Japan much older than thirty who read manga and watch anime. I saw in a poll in a site I once visited that for the anime One Piece alone, the largest number of fans are in the 20-30 age group. There were also older people watching it. I don't know about other countries, but I'm sure there should be other people older than thirty who also watch anime. I'm almost out of my teens myself but I still love anime, and I plan to enjoy for a long time, probably as long as I live. XD

Hey, Age isnt a factor here. You get 62 year olds playing computor games. I believe you shouldnt be watching Bugs Bunny or snow white at 30. But anime is a must

Ha ha Thank you for reminding me of Bugs Bunny. I remember those days when I was still a child. I watched Bugs Bunny, Snow White from the Walt Disney, Sleeping Beauty and many to mention -- but now, I grew up -- It seems that I was fond of Japan anime. Comparing with the 'two' -- I observed that Japan anime is more like an adult anime than ordinary cartoons for kids. He he he he

Im almost 29 and watch anime. I also go to cons and cosplay. You are never too old for anime, sometimes its the adult cons that are the most fun. I also think certain anime is not suitable for the younger crowd. When some get dubbed to English alot is changed to suit youmger viewers..

i love watching Japanese Cartoon or simply ANIME. im 23 years old and im still a ANIME ADDICT. :) i have lots of CD collection and im not embarrassed. the thing is, when they heard the word cartoons, anime etc, the first thing that comes to their mind are "Kids". actually, not all anime or cartoons are for kids, some of them are deep and some are hard to understand. for me, some anime or cartoons are written or made not for children but for adult. its just like watching real movie with real people, same stories and same moral lesson, it is just made differently.

I'm not a 30-year old person, but in my opinion. Watching anime has no age boundaries. It's pretty cool watching it. The story is the important part. Who cares if the person is already in his or her 30s. Anime is for all of us, be it a kid, a teen, a middle-aged person, or an elder.

Hi there Mate! I see nothing wrong with watching anime at 30s. Animes are just like normal movies but the characters aren't real persons. The stories and the drama is still there. There are also a lot of lessons you can learn from animes. You don't need be ashamed. It is always good to be a child at heart. That way you'll have a longer life.

I'm well over 30 and still watch anime. Most of the fans who I know are my age rather than teens. Much anime wasn't written for children in the first place - why would it be wrong for adults to watch something for which they are the target audience?

goku - teh best anime for me is dragon ball z
Hello Introvertshy, Most Anime's in the 90's were not even meant for children and teens. some of them were indeed pretty serious ones that only adults can understand. who ever said that it's retarded for a grown man or woman to watch anime sucks! they were never a an anime fan so why judge us. People also learned from the Anime because it's not always happily ever after unlike that disney craptoons that being showed now a days. At least the anime is mostly related to real life situations. we ANIME FANS! ROCKS! i swear, there's nothing wrong with it. it keeps my imagination alive you know.
