As a few people here may know, I’ve recently got my son into Little League Baseball. So, I’ve been driving him around for his games and practices. What I found out while I wait for him in the stands, is that I often find myself clutching game-food on my hand!
I would have the usual hotdogs, fries, and a big drink. Sometimes I mix it up with a smokie, a burger, and some onion rings. More often than not, this becomes dinner. And of course the occasional ice cream bar for dessert.
I know it’s not good, but it seems the only food that goes with the atmosphere. I never knew little league could be so unhealthy for me.
How about you? Do you enjoy these foods at game parks? Have you ever found yourself enjoying it way too much?
Or are you the type that brings their own watermelon seeds in the park?

Well, it is true that these type of places usually do not serve the freshest or the most healthiest of foods. Many times their choice of foods make most people even shutter at the thought as well. I think it places would allow it more, that people especially Diabetics should be allowed to bring in food from home, etc. and enjoy life as it is.

When you go to those parks, expect foods that are like that. They are handy, easy to eat and way cheaper than fine dining.
In order to avoid eating those, one should eat a heavy meal before going there. That way, you are too full already to be wanting them to eat anymore.

Neither!
I'm the type who can't afford to spend the $5-$10 on the ballpark food, so I eat either before or after practice and just suffer through it. Yes the food looks and smells very good and I'd love to have it.. but my wallet does not allow!

Actually, the fries at the concession stand is only $2. Plus the hotdog, it makes a platter with drinks for just $5. But with another kid with me, and getting it at after the first inning, and then we the other kid wanting his own after his game or practice, it really adds up.
Soon, my wallet would giving up too.
Thanks for dropping by.

I have to admit that each time I have attended every game that my son played at, that was the first thing I ran to was the concession stands. I know it is not so healthy but something about being at the game and knowing the food was there, there I was in line for the food. lol

Hey, unhealthy food is part of America's pastime just like baseball. He's not eating the food every day, all day, so don't worry about it. Feed him good healthy food when you can, and you're doing your job.

bounce I think I am the first one but anyway no I always have a hotdog and coke when I have gone to a baseball game. I know its not
'a bit good for me. watermelons seeds? I did not know you
could eat them but as I have diverticulitis I am not
allowed to eat any kind of seeds or seedy fruits.I am
diabetic and should really be very careful how much
junk food I can eat and still keep my blood sugar level
where it belongs.
