Car sound proofing....

Hi all, anyone here have any idea on how to do car sound proofing on the cars?
I am thinking to do with something affordable not like using Dynamat which is too expensive in my country....
Any good idea to suggest?

Sound-proofing? Is that even safe? I have never heard of a sound-proof vehicle before.
