divorces cases going up = point of marriage

It seems like the cases of divorce are going up and i am witness this in many of my relatives.
Marriage is suppose to be a lifetime thing. A promise where both husband and wife gives to each other.
However, things are changing now and marriage does not guarantee once eternity.
Does seeing so many divorces cases make you lose hope on marriage?
