Cher's child is now a man! Chasity is now Chaz. it took him a very long time to understand he was born in the wrong body. Now Chaz's outside matches his inside. Now I ask this. Do you think most people have the courage to make a huge change so they can be happy? I don't think so. I am not talking about a s@x change but even doing the smaller things so you can be happy, like changing hours at work or even changing jobs. It seems like many just get stuck.Your Thoughts.

I'm very happy for Chaz. I think if you feel that strongly than you should be able to make your change. I wasn't happy at work and now I work from home. It was the best decision I've ever made.

about changing jobs... It took me a while to realize that the job I had previous to what I have right now, was not good for me. It was a big company, and I had a lot of perks, but I came to a conclusion that it wasn't doing anything about my career development. So, when this new opportunity came up, I summoned enough courage to leave everything that was comfy, and start this new one. It's a bit difficult right now but I think I'm going somewhere. And congrats to Chaz!

I think you are right...most of us get stuck in a place where we are comfortable...and not so willing to make change. we just settle for what we have and call it good....too bad though...you only have one life to live...you really should make the best of it!

It is sad that many become " comfortable" with half a life. When you are not completely happy you are only living half a life.

This story is very strange and it is hard to process! I am glad Chaz Bono is now happy but I never have heard a story like this before! I know just about anything is possible nowadays. Right now I am stuck in a rut! My life revolves around my job and my computer! Still waiting for my second job to be available, again! I am happy in a lot of ways but if I was finanically secure and had no weight problem, I'd be really happy! Unless I win the lottery I never will be financially secure and if I had the drive,I'd get my weight problem under control! Don't see that happening anyday soon! So I'll continue to be in a rot!

Very few of us has enough money. But if you can find a job that you like , then it is good.As for the weight, Like everything , you Have to want to do it.I wish you happiness in Everything you do. Funny I can totally understand it. As a tom boy I was just me as a child. when I got into my teens I felt like G-d hated me and that is why I had to go through periods when I Wasn't going to have kids. So each month I felt less than nothing. one huge difference, I never felt if I were a boy I would be whole. I thought If I could Only make it stop I would be happy. But sadly I couldn't get a hysterectomy at age 13!It took Many years , a change my periods , And A guy who loves me to Finally get used to this body.Chaz just needed more of a change . Now he is comfortable .he is the man he Has Always been inside.

i would never have the guts to do what she (now a he) did. it'll hurt my parents so much and i value their happiness more than mine

I think that is why then she / now he waited until he was 40. He had lost his dad and was living on his own. Don't you think your parents want you to be Totally happy? As Chasity , Chaz had happy moments but wasn't Truly happy.

I agree with you, most people are not that strong. I give her I mean him credit for doing what nature screwed up. That's why people have to be more open to this kind of thing. If your child felt that way you would not want to shut them out. I know I wouldn't. Although there are many people that feel shut out.

Sadly there are people who disown their child when this happens. And that is why many people who are made to feel different end their lives. It Is wonderful Chaz came out with his journey. Hopefully some teen will see his story and feel less alone.

I think perhaps some are too afraid to take the risk so they somehow stick with the bad choice out of fear. I have to say that for years I too was this way when it came to work and tried to stick out as long as I could out of fear as I was a single parent and afraid to up and quit. But one day I decided I was causing me more harm then it was worth as I was a wreck. So I have learned that sometimes we do have to take a few risks for both our health and happiness as it is our lives we are living.
