Hopefully I'm not playing "Devil's Advocate" here, but simply put those that eat dogs normally don't view them as pets. I mean, we eat cows, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks ... I could go on and on. And in the UK (I believe) they eat horse meat. So, what's the issue? It's simply another culture and that's what they do. I'd like to note here that I personally never want to eat a dog.

I love my dog very much because he is loyal but those people who eat dogs meat are inhuman. They don't care anymore as long as they feed their hungry tummy. To me, I will never eat dogs meat I feel yuck and indigested.

I think it's disqusting to eat dog or cat. I think here in the US it is illegal.

I really am against dog eating. Fish, Pig, Chicken and cow, go eat them, but dogs? Oh Come on! They are domestic animals. One of the most loyal specie. How could someone bear to eat them. You are indeed right.. We need to save our dogs. Thanks for starting this crusade.

Well for people eating dogs I know some people do that cause they are seriously poor but yeah its still pretty wrong. And um..are you saying its cruel to have dogs watch our houses and chase bad guys? Just wondering cause those sound like reasons why people shouldn't eat them o.o

I can't believe that people eat dogs, but I guess I think this way because of the society that we grew up in. In other cultures, it probably seems totally normal. Who knows, maybe they taste really good. Either way, I would never eat a dog and I think the fact that they are intelligent animals is reason enough not to kill and eat them.

Those who eat dogs are just repulsive and disgusting. I love my dogs so much. To us they are just like family members. I couldn't imagine someone eating a dog. There are all other kinds of meats and animals out there, why on earth eat a dog. Ugh. Kind of makes me sick just thinking about it. I agree dogs have so many uses and are so loyal to their owners, who would someone do something as inhumane as eat them.

Usually, those who always have drinking sprees are the ones who eats dog meats. They eat it along with the liquors they drink. Somehow, i wish the government should really give stiffer penalties for those caught selling dogs for butchering. How can they do that, when those dogs are our guards at home?

I agree. No one should eat dogs. They were not meant to be eaten as meat. They are one of the most loyal creatures on earth. They are indeed man's best friend. I can attest to that because I have one for 8 years already and we treat him as family.
