Would you allow your children to get into government politics when they grow up?

Young buds are the hope for the country's future. But most of them hate politics. I heard my sister saying her son, politics sucks. Because its corrupted all over and no one likes to serve the country without selfishness. Youngsters can change the fate of the government of their country effectively. Share your thoughts, will you allow your kids to enter politics when they become youngsters. If not, why you don't prefer it?

hello, I will let my child go to a politics if she/he really likes its his/her own decision not mine but of course I will advice him/her not to be like other politics who are corrupt and do bad things to others just to win the elections. right? Because maybe my son will be the best politician or will be the one that will change the politics from corrupt. I will give him/her a chance to prove that she/he is different from the others.

Hi Tiina, You have a good spirit in making your kids to come out differently. I appreciate it. You are right, politics is place can change anyone. But a little hope that powerful youngsters can change the fate and end the bad politics.

If a child of mine wanted to go into politics then I wouldn't object as I'd want them to do whatever they wanted to do for themselves. Good point you've raised about the possibility of them being able to change things, as it's always easier to change things from the inside than from the outside.

The thing is, with politics, if no one is prepared to enter into it then it will never change. With the right intent, I believe that people can change the way of their country or the world. If you do nothing then nothing is ever achieved, nothing changes.

Hi Bernard, You pointed out right! When no one changes or willing to change we cannot expect anything at all. We all blame politics but a hope when powerful youngsters can change its fate.

honestly, no, if i really love my children i will keep them far away from politics, all of u know that government is full of dirt, corruption, abuse o power, i dont think is good for anyone who keep honesty, good principles to be corrupt, is well known that the good ones in politics have enemies and olmost never success, young people today got infected of selfishness, money moves the interest of the hole world, and nobody will sacrify themselves for the sake of the country the only good way we can teach our kids god education and no to be so ignorant about life all fields considering that be a good citizen is to observe how these bunch of greeders, manage or rule our country, knowledge is power.

I will support my children in anything they do I hope. I encourage them to do what they do best. My oldest son is in a rising scholars program and a big part of that is debating. He is pretty good at it. I can not always say that I understand what he is saying or how his train of thought is going, but he can sure sway thoughts. My youngest son seems to be interested in military and thats one that I really don't want him to do. But I have to let him go where his heart sends him.

I would allow my child to get into politics because once he or she is 18 years old, we are not allowed to make any kind of decisions for them anyway. They can do what they want to do.

Hi Stephcjh, Nice to hear such positive answer. This is really happy to hear and to know parents are more encouraging their kids rather than restricting not to enter politics or military if they wish to.

I wouldn't if it was me. There are a lot of fishy stuff going on in politics that the nicest people you'll meet will eventually be corrupted due to peer pressure. It's like the story of The Lord of the Rings. Frodo, the hobbit, is the only one who can carry the ring because he has "the purest of heart" but when he reached Mount Mordor, where the ring should be destroyed, he eventually got corrupted with the power of the ring. A lot of The Lord of the Ring's plot can be compared to what's happening to politics nowadays. I'm guessing the story is roughly based from it.

Hi frontvisions, I understand the true problem in politics. Yes everyone of us aware how people are corrupted even at mind and that stops them to serve the people and act so selfish. Infact they say its a place to learn all bad things. Very true, lord of rings is good example to know the outlet of politics. So we have fear to allow kids in politics.

Hi Professor, I understand your worries and its true how bad the politics in all country across. Corruption both at money and mind. Even good people can change in there. If youngsters join hands together, they can change the fate of politics. But fear of letting kids is what we need to consider.
